Daegu Modern History Street is an experience trip to see the modern history that lives on in the alleyways of Daegu. Compared to other regions, Daegu suffered less damage during the Korean War, allowing the city to clearly show the changes that happened from before and after the war. The course includes locations that were important venues of historical moments from the previous generations.

Busan(Gangseo-gu)

Located in Daejeo 2-dong of Busan's Gangseo-gu district,   Gimhae International Airport was originally named Busan Suyeong Airport when it opened in August 1958. It was renamed Gimhae International Airport in August 1976.Since its opening, it has gradually transformed into an international airport that provides service to over 10 million travelers each year. In recent years, the airport has continued to develop amenities and facilities to provide a more comfortable travel experience for travelers, and added additional facilities for people with disabilities.


Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , Former Jeju

Route 15 (19 km) runs from Hallimhang Harbor Ferry Dock in Biyangdo Island to Gonaepogu Port. This trail passes through Pyeongsupogu Port, Seongno-dong Agricultural Storage, Hyerin Church, Napeup Elementary School, the entrance to Geumsan Park, the entrance to Baegilhonggil Road, the entrance to Gonaebong Peak, and Haga-ri crossing. Since the route is surrounded by the ocean, villages, forests and mountains, hikers can admire the scenery of Jeju while walking on Route 15.


Seoul(Gangnam-gu) , Apgujeong・Cheongdamdong

Gangwon-do(Goseong-gun)

The villa of Lee Ki-poong is located between the villas of Rhee Syngman and Kim Ilsung on the shores of Hwajinpo Lake. The villa was originally built by foreign missionaries in the 1920's. It began to be used as a priviate residence by Lee, the Vice-president to President Rhee, and his wife Maria Park after the cease-fire agreement.


Jeollabuk-do(Muju-gun)

For 7 days in June, National Taekwondowon in Muju, Jeollabuk-do brings competitors from over 170 countries to compete in Muju WTF World Taekwondo Championships. Visitors can watch non-stop competitions from 16 weight divisions (eight each for men and women), and also enjoy various taekwondo performances and many other events.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Changwon-si)

Anmingogae Hill is a 9 kilometer-long hill that reaches from Taebaek-dong in Jinhae to Anmin-dong in Changwon. Six of the nine kilometers are lined with cherry blossoms, making up the famous Jinhae Cherry Blossom Tunnel. The hill is also known for its view of Jinhaeman Bay, Ungsan Mountain (alt. 703m), Sirubong Peak (alt. 630m) and Cheonjabong Peak (502m). The hill is dotted with benches placed about 100m apart, offering visitors a comfortable way to catch their breath while enjoying the view and cherry trees.Also of note is the Anmin Saengtaegyo Bridge (Anmin Ecology Bridge), which was built as a passageway for wild animals to travel between Jangboksan and Ungsan mountains after the mountains were divided by the Anmin Tourism Road running from Jinhae and Changwon. The hiking trail to Jangboksan Mountain past the Anmin Saengtaegyo Bridge is closed in the spring as part of fire prevention measures.
