Gyeonggi-do(Yangju-si) , Namyangju

Ilyeong Herbland (일영허브랜드) boasts picturesque scenery, combining both natural and man-made beauty with herbal gardens resting on a wide outdoor field. An herbal botanical garden; an herbal shop; a well-being corner; a restaurant; an outdoor garden; and a walking path are built across an area of 1.7 ha. Visitors can buy herbal plants such as white sweet marjoram, stevia, salad burnet, borage, sweet basil, lemongrass, chive, Italian parsley, parsley, chervil, and can also have various herbal teas and boiled rice with herbal flowers and assorted mixtures.


Jeollabuk-do(Muju-gun)

Nakan Folk Village is comprised of 200 thatched houses with residents who do farming for their living. The village remains the way it looked back in Joseon Dynasty and was designated as a historical site No. 302. The Nakan Folk Festival is a representative festival in the village, where traditional and contemporary meet. The festival includes buchae-chum (dance with a fan), gukak performance, royal guard changing ceremonies, an historical impersonation of Im Gyeong-eop (a prominent Korean general during the Joseon Dynasty), and many other activities that one can feel the life of the olden days.

Garosugil Homestay, located in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, is a domestic-style guest house. The owner, who worked as a Japanese interpreter for 37 years, established the guest house after his/her daughter’s marriage, offering guests the highest level of comfort and an excellent standard of communication in Japanese. It has a communal kitchen equipped with various cooking utensils including a variety of plates and bowls that are suitable for different dishes. All the bedding is cotton. As used bedding will be washed and ironed perfectly, the guest house only accepts guests for a minimum of two nights. Garosu-gil Road, which is a hotspot among young people in Seoul, is only three minutes’ walk away from the guest house. In addition, it offers easy access to public transportation as it is only five minutes from the nearest bus stop and seven minutes from the nearest subway station by foot. Room B, which is slightly larger than Room A, has an extended terrace.


Jeollanam-do(Wando-gun)

Created in 1991, Wando Arboretum is the only warm temperate forest in Korea where only 15% of the landscape is considered a warm temperate region. Wando Arboretum is home to a broadleaf evergreen tree forest that has high medicinal value, covers an area of 200 ㏊ (2,000,000㎡), and is home to 709 species of rare warm temperate plants such as goodyera, calanthe striata, and cephalanthera falcata.There are 30 special gardens for each different plant life, a green house, an observation path, and an observatory. At the observatory, visitors can enjoy the view of Dadohaehaesang National Park and Namdo. The observatory offers an opportunity to educate visitors on nature and the  environment and allows them to take a rest during their visit.


Gangwon-do(Pyeongchang-gun)

Dutasan Recreational Forest is located at the foot of Dutasan Mountain that is part of Bakjisan Mt., which rises 1,394m above the sea level and straddles the border between Jinbu-myeon of Pyeongchang-gun and Jeongseon-gun. The recreational forest is a hub of leisure activity and boasts robust and rich forests filled with a wide variety of animals (badgers, raccoons, bores, hares, etc.), abundant medicinal herbs, and trees such as a huge birch, nut trees and lime trees. Amenities and accommodations include the Forest Culture Rest Center, House of Forest, and various trekking courses and campsites. Nearby attractions are Odaesan National Park, Yi Hyo-Seok Literary House, Daegwallyeong Ranch, Bongpyeong Herb World, and Woljeongsa Temple. At some of these sites, you can try leisure activities such as rafting (Odeacheon Stream) and skiing (Yongpyeong Ski Resort).


Chungcheongnam-do()

Sanjang Garden is a Korean barbecue restaurant specializing in dwaeji galbi (marinated pork ribs), which is grilled over sutbul (hot charcoal). A popular side dish menu item is the dongchimi guksu (noodle with watery radish kimchi) that goes well with galbi.


Busan(Suyeong-gu)

Sujeonggung (Waterstone) has specialized in raw fish cuisine for over 35 years. With its representative food, raw fish caught from the sea, the restaurant serves various qualified foods and service. Nestled at the edge of Gwangalli, visitors can enjoy the beautiful view including Gwangandaegyo Bridge which was newly constructed and moved to its current area in May 2006.
