Gyeonggi-do(Goyang-si)

Pungdong Anygol (formerly known as ‘Aehyeongol’ and ‘Aeingol’) is a ‘food street,’ where many restaurants are located close to one another. Anygol originally started near Baekma Station (Gyeongui Subway Line), where eccentric cafés playing folk music were once popular dating spots among young people in the 1970’s and 80’s. When Anygol near Baekma Station disappeared in the early 1990’s, cafés and restaurants started sprouting around Pung-dong, Goyang-si, which is known for its art and cultural spaces as well as beautiful lakes. Today, there are over 80 restaurants and cafés that host folk music performances as late as 3 a.m. on Pungdong Anygol.


Gyeonggi-do(Gapyeong-gun) , Namyangju

Myeongi Valley stretches eastward from the summit of Myeongjisan Mountatin, which is the second highest mountain in Gyeonggi-do. The valley is only about 10 m high, but it has stunning scenery with plenty of water powerfully cascading down over the rocks. Stretching along a picturesque hiking trail, Myeongji Valley is considered one of the most beautiful valleys in Gapyeong County.


Gyeonggi-do(Yeoncheon-gun)

Imjingang River starts from Pyeonggang-gun and Icheon-gun in North Korea and flows south crossing the demarcation line between the two Koreas. Imjingang River then passes Yeoncheon-gun and Paju-si before finally reaching the Yellow Sea. Although the history has separated the two nations geographically, people from both nations equally enjoy fishing near Imjingyo Bridge and Gunnamgyo Bridge. Around the time of Kogu (곡우; One of the 24 seasonal divisions of the lunar calendar that occurs around April 20 every year.), people near these bridges to take part in catching nuchi-gari (누치가리). Plug casting is a commonly used method here as the water moves quickly.

Home to many ancient porcelain kiln sites, the Geumsa Gamagol Village is often referred to as "the town of porcelain". According to the Sejong Chronicles, grayish blue-powdered celadon and white porcelain were produced and supplied to the royal palaces. Today, traces of porcelain chips and kiln sites can be found throughout the village. Also, the village offers pottery experience programs, as well as seasonal activities involving farming and sulfur hot springs.


Gangwon-do(Wonju-si)

The valley flowing from the top of Baegunsan Mountain to the north direction is called “Yongsugol.” A dense forest, pristine waters and numerous rock formations in the vicinity all provide a beautiful scenery. The downstream area of the valley holds a large amount of water and it is a popular place for vacationers and visitors all year round. The forest park contains a wide variety of trees, some of which grow naturally while others have been more recently planted. In particular, the 1.7-kilometer section of the valley that stretches from the entrance to the resort area boasts breathtaking scenery and is lined with weigela and wild cherry trees. The park is carpeted with various wild flowers such as dicentra, columbine and hepatica, and wild animals such as water deer, wild boars, and raccoons are easily spotted.


Jeollabuk-do(Buan-gun)
