Gyeonggi-do(Gapyeong-gun)

Located at the foot of Kalbongsan Mountain in Gapyeong, BROOK5 is a large-scale pension that offers 20 guest rooms of various types. It is gaining popularity with an outstanding surrounding landscape, modern interior design, and high-end facilities. BROOK5 offers pool villas and kid-friendly rooms as well as standard guest rooms. The guest rooms are available for two guests and four guests, which are ideal for couples and families. There are five pool villas which have private indoor swimming pools, and two kid-friendly rooms equipped with indoor jungle gyms for kids, baby bathtubs, kids tableware, milk bottle sterilizers, and toilet seats for kids. The rest of the guest rooms are standard guest rooms. Some rooms have whirlpool bathtubs where you can enjoy home spa, and some rooms don’t. The large 30 by 7 meter swimming pool is open to all guests. There are separate swimming pools for adults and children. Only the swimming pool for adults is available in winter seasons. Next to the swimming pools, there is a two-story cafe that guests can use while having fun in the swimming pools. There is a self-service coffee machine that guests can use. Right next to the swimming pool is the Dumilcheon Stream, which is a great place to swim in summer.


Ulsan(Ulju-gun)

The residual mountains of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range form ten tall peaks in the Yeongnam region. Dubbed the ‘Yeongnam Alps,’ these peaks include Chwiseosan (1,092 meters, also called Yeongchwisan), Sinbulsan (1,209 meters), Cheonhwangsan (1,189 meters), Unmunsan (1,188 meters), Goheonsan (1,033 meters), Munboksan (1,013 meters), and Gajisan mountains. This group of mountains is uniquely covered with reeds. Gajisan Mountain is the tallest of this group, rising above mountains almost 1,000 meters high. An attraction of hiking in Gajisan Mountain is that various large, oddly shaped rock peaks can be seen from the mountain trail. To the east of the mountain is Seongnamsa Temple built during the Silla Kingdom. Today, only Buddhist nuns remain, but there are relics like the budo stupa of National Master Doui (Treasure 369) and a three-story stone pagoda.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Hadong-gun)

Jirisan National Park spans from Daeseong-ri, Hwagae-myeon, Hadong-gun to Byeoksoryeong (벽소령), where the Jirisan History Museum is. A guide map of North Korean red guerrilla routes on Jirisan Mountain can be seen in front of the museum and the museum explains the history of North Korean fighters in the area. The North Korean partisans didn’t surrender even after the Korean War ended. The Jirisan History Museum shows the guns used at the time and visitors can also get to know the life of slash-and-burn farmers living in the area of Jirisan Mountain. Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

Gyeongsangnam-do(Namhae-gun)

Dumo Village is a terraced paddy field with a developing slope, and given its location along the coast, functions as a farming village and a fishing village. The field, which spans over about 20,000 pyeong, is full of flowers like canola in the spring and buckwheat in the fall. Starting from the entrance of the village, a stair-like canola field stretches out 2 km into the distance. Tourists can rest up in the village while walking through the flowery field that captures the fragrance of the ocean. The blossoming season for canola occurs in April when a month-long festival is held, which offers various activities like camping and water sports.
