Seoul(Yongsan-gu) , Itaewon・Yongsan

New Wazwan serves Indian dishes at reasonable prices and has been certified as an Indian-style tourist restaurant by the Korea Tourism Association. The word “wazwan” refers to the gourmet cuisine enjoyed in Kashmir, the Northern Indian Himalayan region, during special occasions such as weddings.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Jecheon-si)

Cheongpung Lake Monorail will take tourists along the slope to the top of famous Bibongsan Mountain (531m). The monorail first started operating to carry equipment for people who wanted to go paragliding on the middle of Bibongsan Mountain. The monorail now operates on a 2.9 round-trip track.

Gangwon-do(Pyeongchang-gun)

Herbnara Farm, opened in 1994, has almost 100 kinds of herbs covering a total area of 12 k㎡. It consists of seven theme gardens, ponds and galleries including the Herb Garden, Children Garden, Fragrance Garden, and Water Garden. The uniquely decorated buildings and signs make visitors feel as if they are living in a fairy tale. Inside the farm, there are several spots for taking photos alongside the herbs; descriptions and effects are posted at each herb patch.A restaurant and cafeteria provide some dishes and drinks made of herbs cultivated on the farm. Bibimbap, steamed chicken with jeon, and the popular, herb salad with freshly picked flowers, are just some of the items on the menu. Free herbal tea is given to people who eat at the restaurant. There is also an exhibition room, which displays and sells herb related products such as herbal tea, herbal oil, herbal soap, etc.The farm can best be enjoyed from June to August and takes approximately one hour to tour the entire premises. Visitors can also enjoy the refreshing waters that run through the Heungjeong Valley at the entrance of the farm in the summer season.

Gyeonggi-do(Suwon-si) , suwon

The Suwon Hyanggyo is one of the Confucian temple and school to teach local students in the Chosŏn Dynasty period (1392~ 1910).The Suwon Hyanggyo houses the memorial tables of Confucius, Mencius, and twenty-five notable historical Korean figures. The structure was originally built in the 22nd year of King Wonjong’s rule during the Goryeo era (918-1392) by Hwaseonggun, but was moved to its current location when Hwaseong Fortress was constructed.


Daejeon(Jung-gu)

Guibin Dolsotbap is one of the top restaurants in Daejeon and one of the very first to offer dolsotbap (rice in sizzling stone bowl) meals. The restaurant was first opened in Daeheung-dong and later moved to the current location. Tables are set with 17 types of different side dishes. This restaurant serves vegetarian dishes cooked in traditional Jeonju style. All the dishes have mild flavors and are not spicy, so they are suitable for children, seniors, and foreigners. The dining halls on the first floor to the third floor are also appropriate for important gatherings or dining occasions.


Chungcheongnam-do(Buyeo-gun)

Baekjehyang is a Korean restaurant that serves traditional food. One of the restaurant's specialties is yeonipbap, the thick, glutinous rice and jujubes and beans wrapped in lotus leaves. Yeonipbap is served with ureong hoe muchim (seasoned raw snail), dubu (tofu) kimchi, spicy stir-fried pork and japchae (glass noodles with sauteed vegetables). Other specialties include ureong ssambap, a set menu of lettuce wraps and soybean paste snail stew, and meat bulgogi.


Seoul(Seongbuk-gu) , Samcheongdong・The Northern Part of the Seoul

Of the 4 Great Gates (Sukjeongmun, Namdaemun, Dongdaemun, and Seodaemun), established by the Emperor of 1396, Sukjeongmun is called the north gate.Located to the north of Seoul, this gate, with Gyeongbokgung Palace in the center and Changaemun (Jahamun) to the right, make up the wings of the north gate. Due to the possible danger of the area being damaged from all the pedestrians, the Emperor of 1413 planted pine trees and prohibited passing this area. Henceforth, Sukjeongmun became a scenic walkway until the North Korean Communist infiltration of 1968, which prohibited the passing of all civilians.The reopening of Sukjeongmun in April of 2006 has led to the opening of Bukak Mountain in April of 2007 and is in the process of dividing it into 3 courses. Bukak Mountain has been kept well-preserved due to a long period of restriction in this area, and if you climb the mountain, you will be able to see all of Seoul in one breath.
