Hyundai Gallery is located in the heart of Daejeon. The City Hall, Court of Law, and Police Station etc. are some of the important establishments concentrated in the area. The Exhibit Hall on the B1 floor of Hyundai Gallery is 70 Pyeong (1 pyeong = 3.3 square meters), and is the preferred locale for talented artists exhibiting their work. Private invitation exhibitions are usually held. The exhibited works are ones that reflect modern art trends, and show the art world of progressive artists. The lighting is very impressive, and highlights the exhibited items beautifully. The simplicity of its design allows you to focus on and enjoy the artwork even more. There is a historic art gallery near the Hyundai Gallery, and the third largest lake in Korea called Daecheongho Lake. If you want to enjoy the tranquil beauty of a large lake, head over to this place. The water is very clean, and is host to many different types of fish.

Royal Tomb of King Muyeol- Stele for King Taejong Muyeol
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

This is the Royal Tomb of King Muyeol (무열왕릉) the 29th of the Silla Kingdom (654-661). He allied his forces with those of the Chinese Tang Dynasty and unified the Korean peninsula. This large tomb is 114 meters in circumference and 8.7 meters in x_height. Natural stones were piled on the bottom of the tomb, and they remain buried underground. The monument stone is gone, leaving only the turtle-shaped base stone and the dragon-carved head stone. Carved in relief is the inscription “Taejongmuyeolwangneungbi” (태종무열왕릉비), which indicates the owner of this monument.

Saeseom Island Saeyeongyo Bridge
Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si)

Saeyeongyo Bridge is the longest pedestrian overpass created in the southern-most area of the country. The bridge, inspired by ‘Tewu’ (Jeju's traditional log boat), was opened in September 2009, and connects Seogwipo Port and Birds Island. The overpass is the first single cable-stayed bridge ever created in Korea. The bridge has a major tower inspired by the wind and a sail and flamboyant LED lights. With the creation of the bridge, it has become much easier for people to travel to Birds Island, which features the island's ecosystem designated as a warm temperate forest conservation zone. The island also has diverse convenience and leisure facilities such as a 1.2km walking path, a public square, wooden deck road, pebble road, forest walking path and theme photo zone.

Jeju Starlight World Park and Planetarium

Jeju Starlight World Park and Planetarium is a theme park that was established in 2009 for advancing research and studies in astronomy. Today, it is also used as a center for public astronomy education.The Park features a main observatory with a 600㎜ Cassegrain's reflecting telescope, and a subsidiary observatory with one 80㎜ refracting telescope, one 157㎜ refracting telescope, five 200㎜ reflecting telesctopes, and one 200㎜ catadioptric telescope. Additionally, it has 4D theater, a planetarium, a two-story exhibition hall showcasing outer space journey, as well as several meeting/conference facilities. There is also a sundial and two observation binoculars on the outdoor square.

In the spring, the acacia trees grow thick, in the summer the green forest covers the entire mountain, and in the fall, many people visit to climb the mountain covered in red autumn leaves.Namhansanseong Fortress (남한산성), located on Namhansan Mountain, was originally built as a earthen fortress during Gogureyo period, about 2,000 years ago, but after many renovations, Gwanghaegun of the Joseon Period built the fortress properly in 1621. If you climb to the highest peak Iljangsan, you can see Incheon’s Nakjo area, and not only Seoul, but the surrounding Gyeonggi-do area as well. In terms of fortress structure, because the surrounding mountain area is high and rough, and the fortress center level and low, it is an easy place to defend, and to reside comfortably, two prime conditions for a mountain fortress.
