Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Chungcheongbuk-do(Cheongju-si)

A large number of relics were unearthed at this site due to a land development project in 1985. Work was halted and relics were excavated by the Cheongju University Museum. The time and size of Heungdeoksa Temple is unknown, but according to Jikji (Buljojikjisimcheyojeol, the world’s oldest existing book printed with movable metal type), the excavated books were printed using metal types at the temple in the third year of King Uwang’s reign (1377). The books were published 78 years earlier than Gutenberg’s invention. In 1972, the Jikji was officially recognized as the world’s oldest book printed with movable metal type during the International Book Year. The Buljojikjisimcheyojeol is currently kept at the National Library of France.


Busan(Dongnae-gu)

Located in Dongrae-gu Busan, Dongrae Hot Spa Hotel is the five-story building made from red bricks and the building's exterior shows a track of the time. Since established with the name of Sewonjang in 1994, the motel name was changed many times and then is finally changed into the present 'Dongrae Onchon Hotel'. Because of the fresh air and good quality sulfur, it was known that Dongrae hot spring is good for disease healing and the king enjoyed the hot spring bath here. During the Japanese colonial era, Japanese people secured the hot spring. Geumjeong park gondola under Geumjeong Mountain becomes the best commercial tourism area. Dongrae Onchon Hotel uses the hot spring water from underground bedrock layer. As it has been well known that the water is good for neuralgia, skin disease and women disease, so that many tourists visit here. In the hotel, the Chinese restaurant operates. Guests can use a laundry room and kitchen on the 6th floor. The hotel is convenient for transportation because it is located at the entrance of Busan-si. Hotel guests can conveniently use the large marts and convenient stores nearby.


Chungcheongnam-do(Gongju-si)

Located in Gongju-si, Gongsanseong Fortress is a mountain castle which was established during the Baekje Period (234-678). The castle is about 2.5km long, and there are two ways of touring the castle. One way is to start from the parking lot, pass the west gate, Geumseoru, and walk along the cement road. The other way is to turn left at the beginning of the cement road and walk along the top of the castle, which is called Sanseong Road. The cement road is very smooth and you can walk along it comfortably. On the other hand, Sanseong Road has many twists and the passage is narrow, but it has the advantage of following along the Geumgang riverside.When you begin the tour, the first site that you will meet is the Gongbukru, in front of the Sanseong village. From Gongbukru, follow the Sanseong Road, go over a low hill, and you will see Yeongeunsa, a small temple built in the 4th year of King Se-Jo’s reign. In front of the temple is Manharu and Yeonji, and this place is probably the most elegant out of the whole fortress. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Geumgang riverside right here. Follow the trail path a little further up and Imryugak Pavilion appears, known as the largest of its kind within the fortress. You can glimpse a view of Geumgang River, but the trees may obstruct the open view of the scenery.It is worth the visit for its historical and cultural significance, and also for the beautiful view Geumgang riverside and the castle’s trail. The whole course is about 3 km, and 110m high, and so if you travel at a leisurely pace, it will take you about 2 hours and 30 minutes.


Jeollabuk-do(Jeonju-si)

The Jeonju Traditional Culture Center offers visitors a chance to both witness and experience a series of various cultural traditions. Pansori, Minyo, traditional dances and performances are all open for the public to enjoy throughout the year. Jeonju’s most famous food, bibimbab (rice with mixed vegetables) and other Korean cuisine can be sampled at the Traditional Restaurant Hall. Traditional wedding ceremonies are also held at the Traditional Wedding Hall.


Seoul(Jung-gu)

FKCCI Bastille Day event is one of the chamber’s biggest annual events. Bastille Day is the name given in English-speaking countries to the French National Day, which is celebrated on the 14th of July every year. In France, it is formally called La Fête Nationale (The National Celebration) and commonly le Quatorze Juillet. This cultural event represents the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille fortress-prison, which is seen as a symbol of the end of the constitutional monarchy that preceded the First Republic during the French Revolution. Festivities in France begin with a big parade held on the morning of July 14th on the Champs-Élysées avenue in Paris, which is attended by the president of france and broadcast on television. Other programs include a VIP garden party at the Elysée and the final bouquet of fireworks all around the Eiffel Tower. In celebration of this national holiday, the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Embassy of France in Korea organize an annual party. The result is a festival of over 500 people celebrating Bastille Day in a joyful and vibrant atmosphere. It is a day for people of all ages to come and enjoy France and French culture in Korea. Busan(Yeongdo-gu)

Exhibitions at the National Maritime Museum encompass all aspects of marine and ocean life. These include the culture, history, famous figures in the industry, maritime vessels, ocean creatures, ocean life experience, maritime industry, marine territory and development and ocean science. It is by far, one of the top maritime museums in Korea. The museum holds over 14,000 pieces of historic items and relics that have witnessed the history and are relevant to the future of the ocean life. These are on display in the eight different permanet  exhibition halls, the special exhibition hall and the children's exhibition hall. The museum also has a library, an aquarium, a grand auditorium, an outdoor performance stage, and a 4D theatre offering a multi-cultural experience to the visitors.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongdeok-gun)

Located in the east sea, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Yeongdeok Crab Village is famous for its classical scholars, and its wonderful scenery, where the mountains meet the eastern sea. The traditional fishery village is the home of Yeongdeok snow crab that was well-known from Goryeo Dynasty (King Taejo) and also has a huge street for snow crabs, packed with around 100 shops selling crabs along the Gangguan Port. When the season for snow crabs arrives in November, lasting through May, the village is crowded with visitors from all over the world eager to try Yeongdeok snow crabs. In addition, the location of the village gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful sea roads in Korea. In the area are also a sea fishing site, beaches, and water resort venues that are suitable for both recreation and relaxation.


Seoul(Gangnam-gu) , Gangnam・Samseongdong(COEX)

During the Gihae Persecution of 1839, three French Catholic priests were sentenced to death for spreading Catholicism in Korea. Saint Laurent Joseph Marius Imbert (Bishop), Saint Pierre Philibert Maubant (Priest), and Saint Jacques Honore Chastan (Priest) were beheaded on September 21, 1839 at Saenamteo (currently Saenamteo Catholic Holy Place of the Martyrs) and their bodies were buried at Samseongsan Mountain and later transferred to the grotto of Myeondong Cathedral.


Daejeon(Seo-gu)

The Samhoja Motel is located near the Government Complex-Daejeon, the Daejeon Courthouse, and the Daejeon City Hall.
