Haeundae Dalmaji Hot Spring Festival

Haeundae Dalmaji Hot Spring Festival is a folk festival taking place in the Haeundae Beach area to celebrate Jeongwol Daeboreum, the first full moon of the lunar calendar. The day before the event, the citizens come together to make a daljip, a large pile of pine wood, which they will burn the following day to send up their wishes for a happy and healthy new year.

Muchangpo Mystic Sea Road Festival
Chungcheongnam-do(Boryeong-si)

Muchangpo Mystic Sea Road Festival is held at Muchangpo Beach in Ungcheon-eup, Boryeong-si City.During the festival, the sea splits, creating a 1.5 km division from Muchangpo Beach to Seokdaedo Island (석대도). This phenomenon is called the Modern Moses Miracle and happens every year.  The festival accompanies the event which occurs on the fifteenth day of the lunar month and again at the end of the lunar month.Visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions and hands-on programs such as celebratory performances, fishing with a torch, the Mystic Sea Road torch parade, barehanded fishing, catching manila clams, catching razor shells and many more.

Hongbeopsa Temple
Busan(Geumjeong-gu)

Hongbeopsa Temple is located in Geumjeong dugu-dong, Busan, known for its largest bronze Amida Buddha Statue (21m). Surrounded by Mt. Cheolmasan and Mt. Geumjeongsan, a beatiful scenery is revealed and it stretches to Suyonggang river, making one feel as if you were in Yeonhwajang, the ideal world, filled with lotus flowers in Buddhism. Zen and meditation classes are also provided and the meditation room is where you can find your own quiet time in the temples. The temple also exhibits a bust of Gandhi, donated by the Government of India to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and India. Haepungbuwongun Yun Taek-yeong Daek Jaesil

Haepungbuwongu Yun Taek-yeong Daek Jaesil is a house built by the father-in-law of King Sunjong of Joseon Dynasty. He built this house in 1906 when his daughter was proclaimed the crowned princess of Joseon and entered Changdeokgung Palace to later become Queen Sunjeong. Red pine trees salvaged from the demolition of Gyeongungung Palace were used to construct the house. It was originally located at 224 Jegi-dong Dongdaemun-gu, but was later restored and moved to its present location. The shrine of the house that was destroyed in 1960 was also restored. Additionally, a stone stair of two steps on which flowers were planted was added in front of the shrine. Atop of the house is a tiled, triangle-shaped hip-and-gable roof. Sarangche (men’s quarter) has double-layered eaves, while other eaves are single-layered. Haengrangche (servant’s quarters) has a gabled roof supported with three beams. Because the house is more of a shrine rather than residential living quarters, it has many unique features. For example, unlike other houses, it has Anche (women’s quarters) located across from Sarangbang (men’s quarters) with Daecheong (living room) positioned between them.
