Busan(Nam-gu)

A representative international music festival of Busan, the second Busan Maru International Music Festival (BMIMF) is set to run for 5 days from August 30 to September, 3 2011. The festival will be held in various locations throughout the city, including the Busan Cultural Center. Hosted by the city of Busan and managed by the BMIMF organizing committee, the festival’s goal is to develop the regional art sector while building the grounds for forming a robust global cultural infrastructure. The word “maru” is a Korean word that means “the best” and reflects the goals of the BMIMF of becoming one of the most recognized music festivals both domestically and internationally. This year’s festivities, held under the theme “Musical Globalization,” include performances from 37 teams (500 participants) who hail from all over the world.


Gwangju(Buk-gu)

Gwangju National Science Museum opened in 2013 to promote science by the government. The museum specializes in light and science with special spaceship shaped exterior. Many of the exhibitions consist of hand-on programs, providing visitors a chance to use their imagination to further learn about science.


Jeollanam-do(Yeosu-si)

Good Morning Motel is situated on the lively coastline of Yeosu city, renowned as the host city of the highly successful 2012 Yeosu World Expo, in Jeollanam-do. Other local attractions such as Jinnamgwan Guesthouse, where Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s historic site is located, and Dolsandaegyo Bridge are also worth a visit. As for Yeosu’s famous local cuisine, visitors should try sliced raw red tongue sole, dolsangat kimchi (leaf mustard kimchi), Korean set menu with marinated crab, grilled oysters, and grilled belted beard grunt.


Gangwon-do(Inje-gun)

Baekundong Valley flows 5km from the valley of Mt. Deoktaesan and Mt. Seongaksan. There are oak trees and maple trees growing in thick clusters and clean waters flowing nearby. Baekundong Valley stands between the seven brother stones and Yongdam Waterfall, and starting from this point to Gwuiddegicheong Peak is Baekundong Valley. The rocks are connected in a long line and ponds can be seen here and there. On each sides of the valley there are rock walls, which make for some unforgettable scenery. Baekundong Valley maintains its natural beauty and majesty, which attracts many mountain climbers. Especially from the middle point where Jikbaekun and Gokbaekun combine to the Gugok Valley the most magnificent scenery of Baekundong Valley can be seen. The largest waterfall of Baekundong Valley, called Baekun Waterfall, is about 30 meters high. The upper part of the waterfall has rocks lined up in a long line. The landscape of Mt. Seoraksan seen from here is the representative natural scenery of Mt.Seoraksan.


Incheon(Ganghwa-gun)

'Jangbogo Hanok Pension is located in Songhae-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, which is regarded as a 'roofless museum' in Korea. Bugeun-ri, Hajeom-myeon, which is home to the UNESCO-listed Ganghwa Dolmen Sites, Ganghwa History Museum, and Gwanghwa Natural History Museum are a mere 5-minute ride from the pension, with Goryeosan Mountain (436m) -- well-known for wild azalea flowers -- and Baekryunsa Temple at the start of the mountain trail only 4km away. Among the pension buildings, the main and detached buildings are where the guests stay. There is a roofed well in the front yard, which is used as a place to relax all seasons. Both the main and detached guesthouse buildings have two rooms and a living room with a traditional Korean kitchen furnace. The guestroom in the main building also has an attic room. In addition, the pension has floor-heated room, swimming pool, and barbecue facilities on the opposite side of the main building. There is a shared bathroom outdoors in addition to the ones in the guestrooms in both the main and detached buildings.


Gyeonggi-do(Gapyeong-gun)

Located in Gyeonggi-do and home to the nation's largest scale of nut pine trees over 80 years, Jatyanggi Purunsup Resort is a special recreational forest complex where phytoncide emitting from the pleasant woods of the pine tree forest creates a forest healing experience.


Incheon(Ganghwa-gun)

Ganghwa Anglican Church was consecrated in 1900 by Charies Jone Corfe, the First Bishop of the Church as the St. Peter and St.Paul’s Church. The church has since undergone several restorations, but the design remains true to the original. The two-story 4x10 rectangular building is characterized by traditional Korean construction style on the outside while the interior is a Western Basilica style symbolizing the beauty of harmony and Korean tradition. It was first designated as Gyeonggi-do Tangible Cultural Property No. 154 and then became Incheon Tangible Cultural property when Ganghwa was included in Incheon Metropolitan City. In January 2001 it was designated as Historic Site No.424 of Korea.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

It is a place where you can enjoy various Korean side dishes. This restaurant's signature menu is kimchi stew. This Korean dishes restaurant is located in Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.


Jeollanam-do(Gurye-gun)

As the seasonal events of Gurye, there are Goroswe Yaksu festival, Gwangyang ume flower festival, Sansuyu festival, Jirisan Namyakje, Baraebong royal azalea festival, Chunhyanghae festival, and Namwon herb festival for March ~ May. Jeju-do(Jeju-si)

The Jeju Udo Seashell Festival is held every year in mid April in conjunction with the Jeju Canola Flower Festival. Visitors can enjoy Jeju’s fresh seashells and beautiful yellow canola flowers by attending both festivals held the same weekend on Jeju-do Island.
