Jeollabuk-do(Gimje-si)

Dongjin Irrigation Folk Museum is established thanks to the members of Korea Rural Community Corporation who visited various farming areas to gather agriculture-related folk materials. Also, donations and active reactions from residents contributed to making the museum a vivid educational site for agricultural history. The Gimje area is a root of Korea's farming culture, as the place where rice farming begin 2,000 years ago, allowing visitors to meet old and new farming methods and tools together. Its folk materials related to irrigation and farming facilities and living tools provide visitors with the chance to learn the history of farming development in one place.

Cheollipo Beach (천리포해수욕장) is located north of Mallipo Beach in Taean. While smaller and less modern than Mallipo Beach, Cheollipo is a very cozy port. Because of the smooth slope and clean water, this beach is a great place for fishing. Visitors can also catch various shellfish and collect seaweed. Geographically, no separate breakwater is required. Cheollipo Beach is recommended for those who want to enjoy the beauty of a remote port and peaceful ocean as opposed to swimming.


Jeollabuk-do(Imsil-gun)

The community-oriented tradition seeks communication, friendship, harmony and sharing between urban and rural societies, dreaming of the globalization of Korean traditional culture. Especially, Pilbong Nongak highlighting farmer's generous and affectionate life helps the audience think about the value of the traditional music and upgrades Pilbong to the place that people want to revisit and creates a rebirth of the Korean culture.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Tongyeong-si)

Spread out over an area of 558.68㎡, this museum is a collection of exhibits highlighting the historic heritage of Tongyeong-si. It holds around 1,000 pieces of lifestyle articles and literature items, as well as photos of Tongyeong from the prehistoric era, Gaya Confederacy, Silla Kingdom, Goryeo Dynasty, Joseon Dynasty, and the modern times. In addition, there are materials related to 12 gongbang (workshop) and the Japanese Invasion of Korea. Visitors can also watch video clips showing the process of making craftworks including najeonchilgi (mother-of-pearl craft making) and somokjang (wood furniture making), as well as videos introducing intangible cultural assets such as the Ogwangdae (five mask performers' dance drama) and Seungjeonmu (victory dance).


Jeollabuk-do(Gunsan-si)
