Songdo Central Park
Incheon(Yeonsu-gu)

Located at the center of international business district within Songdo International City, Songdo Central Park was designed to reuse rainwater effectively and reduce heat island effect as much as possible. It is also the first city in Korea to make a lakeside park using seawater. Donghak Peasants Revolution Memorial Hall
Jeollabuk-do(Jeongeup-si)

The Donghak Peasants Revolution Memorial Hall was opened on May 11, 2004 in Donghak-ro, Deokcheon-myeon (in Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do Province) near the Hwangto-hyeon Battlefield where the Donghak peasants rose up against corrupt public officials.The memorial hall has on display weapons and other items related to the Donghak Peasants Revolution as well as images of the battle. There is also a permanent exhibition room showing the evolution of the revolution and another exhibition room where special exhibitions are organized twice a year.

Osaek Jujeongol
Gangwon-do(Yangyang-gun)

About 3 kilometers from Osaek Mineral Spring in South Seorak, the road splits, and you can take a trail to Yongso Falls and Sibi (Twelve) Falls. Jujeongol is the name of the valley that meanders up to Sibi Falls. As you hike along this delightful path you encounter Seonnyeotang Pond, Dokjuam Rock, and Yongso Falls, and the Second Osaek Mineral Spring is a refreshing treat for thirsty hikers. The path is relatively smooth and can be enjoyed by hikers of all abilities.The hiking routes in South Seorak are open from 4 am to 2 pm in winter and from 3 am to 3 pm in summer.

Yeongok Beach
Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

Situated in Yeongok-myeon (Dongdeok-ri), this spacious beach (56,000m2) stretches over 700m. Surrounded by a lush pine forest, this beach is ideal for camping. Fishing lovers can enjoy catching sweetfish at Yeongokcheon Stream flowing from Sogeumgang (Sogeum River); there are a variety of restaurants offering delicious Korean food along the stream as well. Dongdeok-ri used to be home to a railway station and a traditional market. Trading ships—moving between the Hamgyeong and Gyeongsang areas—used to populate the beach. The beach and its surrounding attractions are great for both hiking and swimming.

The World Taekwondo Hanmadang

The World Taekwondo Hanmadang is the global Taekwondo headquarters, and presents the true essence of Taekwondo's elements, including attacks, demonstrations, and self defense. Every year at the World Taekwondo Headquarters, an international Taekwondo competition is held in order to manifest the spirit of this martial art and to increase the unity of global Taekwondo martial artists. Since its first opening in 1992, the competition has become known as the world's leading authority for the tradition of Taekwondo. Through the World Taekwondo Hanmadang, participants can enhance the value of Taekwondo as a cultural consciousness, and also act as an instrument through which the superiority of Taekwondo's culture can be spread globally. GYROS

Seonyudo Island
Jeollabuk-do(Gunsan-si)

Seonyudo (선유도), one of the most popular tourist destinations on the west coast during the summer, lies in the heart of the Gogunsan-Yeoldo archipelago and consists of some 20 islands in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do. Visitors to the island can also see Munyeodo, Jangjado and Daejangdo nearby in one trip as there are bridges linking the four islands. The starting point of the tour is a small town named ‘Jin-ri’ located adjacent to Seonyudo Beach. On the island you’ll find convenience facilities including lodgings and restaurants. The town often becomes crowded during peak times in the summer so if you want to avoid the crowds you may want to rent a bicycle and cross the bridge to Munyeodo or Jangjado or ride over to Jinwol-ri on the other side of Mangjubong (hill). Munyeo is a peaceful town and port with a sprawling reed and pebble field that can be enjoyed in Jinwol-ri. You can also go fishing on Jangjagyo (bridge) or take in the breathtaking view of the archipelago from the top of Mangjubong, the emblem of Seonyudo. You can witness the awe-inspiring sunset in Seonyudo from anywhere on the beach, but it is even more spectacular when viewed from the top of Mangjubong.

DMZ International Documentary Film Festival

Daecheongbong Peak
Gangwon-do(Sokcho-si)

At 1,708 meters high, Daecheongbong is the highest peak in Seoraksan National Park and the third highest peak in Korea following Hallasan Mountain (1,950 meters) and Jirisan Mountain (1,915 meters). It marks the point where Nae-Serok (inner Serok) meets Oe-Serok (outer Serok). Due to irregular climate and low temperatures, it is home to various stunted high mountain plants and about 50 rare plants, as well as a variety of wild birds. From Daecheongbong Peak you can view the fascinating landscape of Seoraksan Mountain in all four directions.The most popular hiking trail to Daecheongbong Peak starts from Sogongwon and passes the Biseondae and Hoeungak Pavilions. From Daecheongbong Peak, the trail continues to Seorak Waterfalls and Osaek Mineral Spring. The one-way span is about 16 kilometers and takes about 11 hours and 20 minutes. About 10 minutes from Oryeon Falls is the Yangpok Shelter where visitors can stay the night on a first-come first-served basis. The website offers more information on shelters and reservation.
