Naju Station (나주역)
Jeollanam-do(Naju-si)

Naju Station is a railway station on the Honam Line serving the Jeolla region. The station is located in Songwol-dong, Naju-si in South Jeolla Province. The old Naju Station located in Jungnim-dong was the starting point of the Gwangju Student Independence Movement in 1929 that began as a result of the conflicts between Korean and Japanese students who used to commute to Gwangju by train. This historically significant event had delayed the relocation of Naju Station. With the partial opening of the two-track Honam line on July 10, 2001, Naju Station was integrated with Yeongsanpo Station and moved to its current location in front of Naju City Hall. The facilities at the old Naju Station had been too old and the station building too small to sufficiently accommodate the number of passengers in the region, so it was the Yeongsanpo Station that used to cover the passenger demand. After the integration of the two stations, all regular trains on Honam Line, as well as some of the high-speed KTX trains stop at Naju Station.

Jirisan-gil Sansuyu Village (지리산길 산수유마을)

Sandong-myeon in the Gurye-gun region is widely known as the home of Sansuyu (cornus fruit) and is responsible for 67% of Korea’s Sansuyu fruit production. The Sangwi Village located at the foot of the southwest side of Manbokdae Mountain (1,433m) is considered the region’s most representative village of Sansuyu. The village has a beautiful natural landscape with the snow-covered Jirisan Mountain range to its back and a small valley to its right. Visitors to Sangwi Village can wind down at the hot spring complex near the village, which is famous for its germanium content and said to have numerous health benefits. The Sansuyu flowers of Sanwi Village typically are at full bloom between March 20th and March 31st, drawing throngs of visitors. * Please note that blossom dates are not exact and change slightly from year to year.

This hanok (traditional Korean house) guesthouse is nestled in the folds of Wolchulsan Mountain, in Gangjin’s Dalbit Hanok Village, a collection of hanok houses. The treasure of this place is the view of nature: Sitting on numaru (raised floor space), which has an open view to the three sides, one has a view of the Wolchulsan National Park and the green tea fields nearby. A wide courtyard serves as the home of flowers and the playground of the puppy in the residence. There are three rooms in total, all Korean-style ondol (under-the-heating system) rooms. Rooms are decorated with folk painting, dried flowers, and old-style ornaments to recreate the comfortable and charming atmosphere of rural Korea. Sunlight and moonlight filter between the screen doors, making one realize staying in a hanok building. Dalbit Room has a numaru for an even better view, where one can enjoy a cup of tea while appreciating the view of nature. Smile Room has access to jjongmaru (balcony). Another important thing that must be mentioned at Dalbit Smile is its breakfast: the owner, who is licensed in Korean and Chinese cuisine, offers a robust table of heartwarming home food every morning. It takes about 5 min by car to reach Gangjin’s famous tourist sites like Baegundong Garden and Gangjin Dawon (tea plantation), while Wolchulsan National Park is reachable in 10 min.

Dasomchae(다솜채)[한국관광품질인증/Korea Quality]

Built more than 80 years ago, Dasomchae is a 'hanok (traditional Korean house)' guesthouse located in Songjeong-dong, Gwangju-si. It has 12 guestrooms whose walls are covered with healthy, natural red clay. The blankets are filled with natural cotton for a good night's sleep. There are lots of grapevines and trees in the front yard, including yew, locust, Japanese angelica, pomegranate, jujube, and apricot trees. In summer, the chimney is covered with trumpet flowers, making for a picturesque view. There is also a Korean A-frame that has actually been used for decades. Located a mere 10 minutes away by car from Songjeong Station, the guesthouse is very conveniently located for those wishing to visit various tourist destinations in the city.

Osong International Bio Industry Exposition in Korea

Osong International Bio Industry Exposition in Korea will take place at Osong Biovalley (near Osong KTX Station) and is sponsored by Chungcheongbuk-do, Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy, and Cheongju City. National Women's History Exhibition Hall

Woljeongsa Museum (월정사 성보박물관)
