Ilyeong Herbland (일영허브랜드) boasts picturesque scenery, combining both natural and man-made beauty with herbal gardens resting on a wide outdoor field. An herbal botanical garden; an herbal shop; a well-being corner; a restaurant; an outdoor garden; and a walking path are built across an area of 1.7 ha. Visitors can buy herbal plants such as white sweet marjoram, stevia, salad burnet, borage, sweet basil, lemongrass, chive, Italian parsley, parsley, chervil, and can also have various herbal teas and boiled rice with herbal flowers and assorted mixtures.

Pungdong Anygol
Gyeonggi-do(Goyang-si)

Pungdong Anygol (formerly known as ‘Aehyeongol’ and ‘Aeingol’) is a ‘food street,’ where many restaurants are located close to one another. Anygol originally started near Baekma Station (Gyeongui Subway Line), where eccentric cafés playing folk music were once popular dating spots among young people in the 1970’s and 80’s. When Anygol near Baekma Station disappeared in the early 1990’s, cafés and restaurants started sprouting around Pung-dong, Goyang-si, which is known for its art and cultural spaces as well as beautiful lakes. Today, there are over 80 restaurants and cafés that host folk music performances as late as 3 a.m. on Pungdong Anygol.

Yangpyeong Sansuyu Flower Festival

Imjingang River

Imjingang River starts from Pyeonggang-gun and Icheon-gun in North Korea and flows south crossing the demarcation line between the two Koreas. Imjingang River then passes Yeoncheon-gun and Paju-si before finally reaching the Yellow Sea. Although the history has separated the two nations geographically, people from both nations equally enjoy fishing near Imjingyo Bridge and Gunnamgyo Bridge. Around the time of Kogu (곡우; One of the 24 seasonal divisions of the lunar calendar that occurs around April 20 every year.), people near these bridges to take part in catching nuchi-gari (누치가리). Named after flowers, houses are organized in such a way as to secure isolation while still connected to each other; each house is equipped with its own garden. Six houses are divided into two sections. The first section consists of three houses (Mint, Rosemary, and Lavender); the newly built second section offers three houses (Chamomile, Jasmine, and Thyme), a restaurant, and a seminar room. Each house offers distinct architectural styles and interior designs with a loft structure. There are also barbecue grills outside. Outdoor hot tubs are available only for visitors staying in Rosemary, Jasmine, and Chamomile. House of Mind is ideal for group gatherings (workshops or seminars), family visits, and romantic getaways. It has become popular as it has frequently appeared in magazines, commercials, and Korean dramas such as IRIS; it is also close to Vivaldi Park Ocean World in Daemyung Resort.

Hyojongdang (효종당)

Located in Giheung-gu of Yongin, Hyojongdang is an elegant traditional Korean house. The house was built by Master Builder Lee Il-gu, who restored Suwon Hwaseong Temporary Palace, and many traditional architects of Korea to have both traditional beauty and modern convenience. There are three rooms in Hyojongdang: Pine Room, Juniper Room and Baerong Tree Room. The ceiling of each room was finished elaborately with wooden pieces, and the delicate scent of pine will refresh you. The room is decorated with traditional furniture such as dresser, chest, medicine cabinet and night table and pictures like the Four Gracious Plants and Flowers & Birds. In addition, there is a tea ceremony set in each room. Opening the bedroom door, you can see the well-tended garden and the platform for crocks of sauces and condiments on one part of the yard. In early February of every year, people can participate in the event to try making traditional bean paste and pepper paste and foreign tourist can experience wearing traditional wedding costume and Korean clothes. Hyojongdang is about 7~8 minutes away from Maseong Toll Gate of Yongin Expressway and near to Everland, Hoam Museum and Samsung Transportation Museum. The place has a good access to major travel destinations in Yongin: 10km from Gyeonggi–do Museum and 12km away from Nan June Paik Art Center.
