Daeseong Water Leports is a private water sports specialty business located in Daeseong-ri that offers a variety of enjoyable programs that include water skiing, motorboating, wakeboarding, banana boating, an excursion ferry, and paddle boats. They also provide several other conveniences such as a restaurant, series of bungalows, a convenience stand, a sporting field, camping grounds, and a large cherry tree forest. The clean and clear waters of the North Hangang River makes the perfect place for an outing or large social gatherings and events.

Sintan-ri Station (신탄리역)
Gyeonggi-do(Yeoncheon-gun)

Sintan-ri Station, located on the Gyeongwon Line between Daegwang-ri and Baengmagoji Stations, opened on July 10, 1913. It was part of North Korean land after 1945, but was returned to South Korea in 1951. A sign lableing the station as the final station on the line was installed in 1971. With the opening of Baengmagoji Station on November 20, 2012, the station lost its title as the last station. However, many people still consider it as such, with many visitors coming to see the old sign.

The Gimpo Hyanggyo Confucian School is where the tablets of the Five Sages (Confucius, Mencius, Xunzi, Weng zi, Zisi), the Wisemen of the Song Dynasty, and the 18 wisemen of Korea are kept. The confucian temple had moved to Geolpo-dong in Gimpo before being relocated to its current site.

The rest of the guest rooms are standard guest rooms. Some rooms have whirlpool bathtubs where you can enjoy home spa, and some rooms don’t. So make sure to check the details before you finalize your booking. The guest rooms have self-contained kitchens with full kitchenware. Each guest room has a private barbecue room for a greater convenience. The biggest pride of BROOK5 is a heated water pool available all year round. The large 30 by 7 meter swimming pool is open to all guests. There are separate swimming pools for adults and children. Only the swimming pool for adults is available in winter seasons. Next to the swimming pools, there is a two-story cafe that guests can use while having fun in the swimming pools. There is a self-service coffee machine that guests can use. Right next to the swimming pool is the Dumilcheon Stream, which is a great place to swim in summer.

Hyangmihwaro is a restaurant that specializes in sutbul jangeo-gui (charcoal-broiled eel) and chamge megi maeuntang (spicy king crab and catfish stew). The broiled eel is available in two different varieties: salted and marinated. The salted eel has a distinctly clean taste while the savory marinated eel boasts a rich flavor created by fourteen different ingredients including dried red pepper powder, garlic, scallion, and onion. Chamge megi maeuntang, on the other hand, is a spicy king crab and catfish stew that delivers a zesty wallop of flavor. The stew is prepared by boiling seafood and vegetables with Korean traditional red pepper paste and sujebi (wheat flour dumplings).

Namyangju Joan [Slow City] (남양주 조안)

The origin of the city name, Joan, comes from the meaning "a place where birds dwell peacefully." Namyangju Joan was designated a "slow city" in 2010 and was the first "slow city" in the Seoul metropolitan area. The city has a well-paved bike road along the Namhangang Riverbank connecting Paldang to Yangpyeong through Daeseongri. The city also has the Slow City Trail, starting from Ungilsan Station and passing through Majin Fortress and Sujeongsa Temple before arriving at Songchon Independence Park.Each of the twelve villages in Namyangju is known for a different local treasure, ranging from lotus fields to cultural heritages. Joan-myeon in particular has received compliments for its local communities, eco-friendly and organic farming, natural environment, traditional culture, and well-managed fisheries.

Yangpyeong Rail Bike

Using a long abandoned railway, the Yangpyeong Rail Bike offers a unique bike ride at speeds of 15km/h from Yongmun to Wondeok. This 3.2km journey passes along a gleaming river and tree covered mountains. The bike ride delivers picturesque scenery all year round: blooming flowers in the spring with the light green buds blossoming on the trees, the flush greens of summer time, vivid autumnal tones coloring the ridge of Yongmunsan Mountain, and the clean white snowflakes resting delicately on the limbs of trees.

Seongho Memorial Hall (성호기념관)
Gyeonggi-do(Ansan-si)

The Seongho Memorial Hall was built by the municipality of Ansan in memory of Seongho Yi Ik (1681-1763), a great Neo-Confucian scholar from Ansan, to house his personal academic works and associated artifacts. The memorial hall was opened in May 2002 and has on exhibit the personal handwritten materials and works of Yi Ik and other relics related to his studies and philosophy. Major exhibits include Yi Ik’s hand-written poems and letters, the Seongho literary book, and books written by Toegye Yi Hwang, Misu Heo Bok, Bangye Yu Hyeong-won, and Dasan Jeong Yak-yong, most of which are the original copies. There are also a significant number of relics on exhibit that were once owned by individual collectors.
