Chungcheongbuk-do(Jecheon-si)

The Oksun Bridge was constructed to alleviate increased traffic that resulted from the Chungju Dam and Chungjuho Lake. Spanning a distance of 450m, the bridge is part of a driving course winding around Chungju, Jecheon and Danyang as well as Gudambong and Oksunbong Peaks. Views from the bridge of the surrounding mountains and cliffs are known to be quite remarkable. 


Chungcheongbuk-do(Yeongdong-gun)

Songcheon Garden is famous for its stunning eco-friendly harmony of the resturant building with the geographic surroundings. This image is created by a lot of fountains and water falls made from the valley of Bakdalsan Mountain. The wooden house build with Japanese cedar offers a pleasant atmosphere. Also, a fishery in the restaurant using a mix of clean underground water and natural streams gives a fresh taste to the freshwater fish. Sliced raw freshwater and spicy fish stew are the main menus. The maeuntang (spicy fish stew) features a savory taste with green onion, garlic, and vegetables along with doenjang (soybean paste) and gochujang (Korean chili paste).

Maegoe Museum is located on the grounds of Gamgok Maegoe Virgin Mary Catholic Cathedral and showcases the Catholic history of the area over a span of more than 100 years. The museum displays items important to the early Church in Korea, as well as items used by the first priest. The museum serves as a complete education center for visitors to Gamgok Maegoe Virgin Mary Catholic Cathedral.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Chungju-si)

The Korea Wine Festival takes place annually at the Yeongdong County Gymnasium and the area around the Yeongdong-based wine company, Wine Korea Inc. Chungbuk Yeongdong County is the largest grape producing region in Korea and was recently designated a 'Grape/Wine Special Industry Zone,' the only one of its kind in the country. An event for wine lovers and Yeongdong residents alike, the festival offers a variety of musical performances, foods, and programs that will introduce visitors to the world of wine and cultivate a genuine spirit of fun. The festival will be holding an exhibit of some of the world's most popular wines, along with wines made from grapes grown in Yeongdong County. Other festival highlights include a wine & jazz concert, a wine quiz competition, a wine auction, and hands-on experience programs such as making wine soap, wine chocolate, or wine Tteokbokki (rice pasta in spicy sauce). At the festival, Wine Korea Inc. releases its ‘Nouveau’ wine made from the year’s grape harvest.

Located in the middle of Woraksan Mountain, Joryeongsan Mountain, and Sujupalbong Mountain, Hot Sulfur Springs is considered one of the best hot sulfur springs in Korea. Sulfur springs effectively assist in treating a range of health issues. Since it softens skin, it is helpful for treating cornification of the skin and chronic eczema. Suanbo Hot Springs Special Tourist Zone is a time-honored hot springs resort in Korea. Known as the first naturally yielding hot springs that started to flow 30,000 years ago, its effect is also widely recognized. Gushing out from 100 m underground, its water is weak alkaline in nature, and the temperature is 53℃. What's more, the water contains minerals and far-infrared effect. This is why a large number of people flock to the hot springs for treatment and recuperation. Currently, it is under the jurisdiction of Chungju-si City. At the center of Suanbo Hot Springs is Multang Park, with a shallow hot spring water stream, which is used as a foot bath. For those who are not able to take a bath, a foot bath is a good option. The foot bath is especially popular from autumn to spring. Most visitors to Suanbo Hot Springs stay at a hotel or motel in the area. The restaurants here serve pheasant dishes, the local specialty. Suanbo Hot Springs Special Tourist Zone is adjacent to the national road that spans from downtown Chungju-si City to Mungyeong. K-Beauty Gallery, located inside Osong KTX Station in Chungcheongbuk-do, opened its doors on April 3, 2014. K-Beauty Gallery serves as a venue for the exhibition of promotional and advertising materials used by the Cosmetics & Beauty Expo Osong Korea held in 2013. It also sells various cosmetics and beauty products at the store “Beauty is You.” In addition, exhibitions at the gallery showcase everything beauty-related from traditional styling and make-up techniques to the latest trends in the beauty industry.
