Daemyung Resort - Byeonsan Aqua World

Daemyung Resort at Byeonsan is located in Byeonsan Bando National Park near Gyeokpo Beach in Buan (Jeollabuk-do). This luxurious resort is patterned after Normandy Beach and its European-style architecture. Arirang Literature Museum
Jeollabuk-do(Gimje-si)

Located in Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do, Arirang Literature Museum (Jo Jung-rae Arirang Literature Museum) was opened in May, 2003. The museum displays materials related to Jo Jung-rae’s novel, ‘Arirang,’ which shows the history of Gimje. His handwritten manuscripts for Arirang are displayed on the first floor, and the author's notes, a pocket notebook, and daily items are on display in Exhibition Hall No. 2. In addition, No. 3 Exhibition Hall shows Jo Jung-rae's humanity. The memorial stone of Arirang Literature is located in Byeokgolje.

Jikso Falls

Jikso Falls is located inside the Byeonsanbando National Park. A 4-km walk up the hiking trail from Naesosa Temple leads to this 30-meter waterfall that thunders down from the mountain above. Known as one of the most beautiful sights in Byeonsanbando National Park, the waterfall is very popular with tourists.

Gosapo Beach

Gosapo Beach commands a magnificent scenic view, thanks to the songnim (pine forest) planted along the beach as a windbreaker. During the summer season, visitors can set up their tents among the pine trees and look out onto the beach from their tents. Less well-known than Byeonsan Beach, Gosapo Beach offers a more quiet summer vacation. The cookhouse, bathhouse, and restrooms are clean and bright. For three days before or after the 1st and the 15th day in the lunar calendar, the sea seems to part, creating a path from Gosapo Beach to Haseom Island. Here, visitors can experience a natural phenomenon similar to the “Moses Miracle.”

Gunsan Station

Gunsan Station first started operations as an ordinary station on March 12, 1912 in Daemyeong-dong, Gunsan-si. The station was a historical site of Korean grief due to the exploitation of Japanese imperialism, as well as a bridge connecting people, as the area around the station became an open market at dawn and a meeting place in the daytime. Imsil Cheese Theme Park (임실치즈테마파크)

The history of Imsil cheese began in 1958. At that time, Imsil had no local specialty or unique color of its own, which changed when Ji Jeong-hwan, a Belgian priest came to the region as a missionary. The governor of Imsil-gun asked the priest to work for the community, not just for Catholics in Imsil. After much thoughts, he decided to make cheese. In the beginning, he made cheese with goat milk. Imsil's reputation as a cheese village, which began with just two goats, is now blooming with the establishment of Imsil Cheese Theme Park. Imsil Cheese Theme Park consists of cheese experience centers, a promotion center, a milk processing factory, a local specialty shop, etc., where one can meet the past, present and future of Imsil cheese. The Cheese Science Lab is continuing research to make premium cheese.
