Daegu(Seo-gu)

Hwangjanggun specializes in hoe-naengmyeon (cold noodles with additional marinated raw fish), galbi-jjim (braised beef short ribs), and galbi-tang (short ribs soup). Galbi-jjim is served on a charcoal burner and is available in two flavors: mild and spicy. The restaurant has five branches in Daegu.


Daegu(Dalseong-gun)

The site used to be part of a temple but Nampyeong Moon Clan organized the land following a well-field system to make the area a residence for many generations. As of now, 9 houses and 2 pavilions as well as a low wall are located near the road. Subongjeongsa is the large main building, located in the center of the entire area. It is used as a gathering place, and features beautiful gardens. Gwanggeodang is the educational place for studies and refinement. Insumungo preserves about 10,000 books and clan treasures, starting from a small building but later being resized larger, including an additional building to read books.


Daegu(Buk-gu)

The Korean Traditional Medicine (Hanbang) Industry Expo is held at EXCO in Daegu. The event is co-hosted by the city of Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do, and co-organized by the Institute for Korea Traditional Medical Industry and Korean Traditional Medicine (Hanbang) Industry Expo Organizing Committee. Under the theme of “Globalization and Futurization of Hanbang (Oriental medicine)," this year’s exposition will feature about 130 booths through the participation of over 80 companies and organizations from home and abroad.


Daegu(Nam-gu)

Nakdonggang River is a winding river that is filled with a great strength to protect the people, providing the wisdom and deep meaning for the country's reunification. Thanks to its geographical advantage, it provided a good distance of ceasefire line between Korean soldiers against its enemies during 6.25 Korean War, helping defeating moreover reducing the casualties. The Nakdong Victory Memorial Hall was built in memory of the victory at the Nakdonggang defense line which was the last fortification to protect the country during the Korean War. The memorial hall was built with private donations from the residents of the Daegu and Gyeongbuk province. In particular, postwar generations, especially the young generation people who did not experience the 6.25 Korean War, can learn the great piece of history from here. Opening Day: June 25, 1979


Daegu(Dong-gu)

Yongjibong Restaurant serves champum hanu (Korean beef) certified by the government of Gyeongsangbuk-do and jointly developed by Yeungnam University and Gyeongsangbuk-do Livestock Cooperative. The traditional Korean course meal and champum hanu course meal are particularly delicious.

Daegu(Dalseo-gu)

Introduction E-World Starlight Festival is held with ten million lights in an area of 120,000 pyeong around E-World and 83 Tower. Hot-air balloons, roses, and masks light decorations and other events will catch people’s eyes at this carnival-like festival. The events start at night and large characteristic trees are decorated along the 200m Light Road, as well as a Umbrella Road, Carnival Road, and photo zone created by 1,000 lights. Also, 10,000 LED roses cover the proposal stairs, creating a romantic and special ambience. This festival is beloved by young couples as part of a night dating course. Daegu(Suseong-gu)

Suseong Resort is located at the foot of the northwest side of Yongjibong Peak (629m) in Beommul-dong and offers outstanding scenery including gentle mountains along with Suseong Pond. The resort is centered around Suseong Pond, established in 1925 with 70,000 pondage in a circumfrence of 2,020m. The total area of the park is 218,000 ㎡. Suseong pond is an artificial pond created in 1925 during Japanese colonial era to supply water for agriculture to rural areas. These days, it is no longer used for agricultural purposes, but has turned into a resting area. Nearby the pond is Suseong Land which houses benches, trees, cruise boarding dock, biking, bumper car, merry-go round and other entertainment facilities. Also, visitors can enjoy a duck-boat, Dusan waterfalls and other exciting places perfect for excursion. Built in September 2007, the music fountain operates from May to October four times a day during the week.


Daegu(Dong-gu)
