Haeundae Market is a popular tourist attraction in Busan and is located across the street from Haeundae Beach. The market sells an abundance of fresh vegetables, meat, and seafood, as well as snacks including kimbap (seaweed rice roll) and tteokbokki (rice cakes in a spicy sauce). Such street markets can be a great place to experience Korean culture firsthand while trying new foods.

E-Mart - Haeundae Branch

Haeundae branch has seven floors from the basement to the 6th floor, and is located at Haeundae Beach, the largest recreational beach in Korea. The basement of E-Mart provides shopping for fresh produce, processed foods, household appliances, and kitchenware, while the first floor offers clothes, children’s products, fashion accessories and sportswear. The second floor sells electronics, furniture, stationery, and books. In total, the Haeundae E-mart sells over 30,000 various products.There are also many facilities that have been provided for the customer's convenience. The Family Restaurant Skylark serves a variety of menu items at reasonable prices, while other facilities include the Jeonju Bibimbap Corner, the Baby Rest Area and the Children’s Playroom for parents with their children. An optician’s shop, pharmacy, dry cleaners, and photo center are also available to customers.

The chain offers groceries and a wide variety of other merchandise at low prices.The Haeundae branch of Home Plus is located near Haeundae Beach and BIFF Plaza. This branch contains a large grocery store, a food court, various other convenience facilities, and stocks around 100 different brands of clothing.

Haeundae Sand Festival

This festival takes place at Busan’s beautiful Haeundae Beach, an extremely popular summer vacation spot. The festival’s program is full of events inspired by the beach’s beautiful white sand. One of the highlights of the festival is the hot sand bath (beneficial for health and beauty), where visitors are buried in the sand from head to toe. Other events include a beach volleyball competition, an exhibition of different types of sand from around the world, and a marathon race.The festival continues into the night with spectacular fireworks displays, concerts, and other entertainment events. Popular tourist destinations such as the Jagalchi Market, Gwangalli, and Taejongdae are all located nearby. Visitors can also stop by one of the many restaurants along the coast to sample the sushi for which Busan is famous.

Dalmaji-gil Road

Dalmaji-gil Road is a small walkway on the corner to Songjeong Beach. and boasts beautiful cherry blossoms and pine trees, which are located just beyond Haeundae Beach, on the slope of Mt.Wausan. The landscape, with the blue sea, sandy seashore, and pine trees, is beautiful enough to be the representative place of this area for a long time to come.This walk became famous as a relaxing place in the summer, ever since Haeundae Beach opened in 1965. On days with clear skies you can see Japan's Daema Island from the observatory. There is a spa and other facilities nearby, making it a great place to visit for people who want to relax and enjoy their free time, not only in the summer, but throughout the year. The Dalmaji Hill has 8km driving course and at the peak of Mt.Wau is a Dalmaji hill. On the top of the Hill is a clock tower, representing the marine city Busan, going forth and reaching out to the world.

Haeundae Beach

Haeundae Beach (해운대해수욕장) is probably the most famous beach in the country. "Haeundae" was so named by scholar Choi Chi-Won (857~?) of the Silla Kingdom (BC 57~AD 935). When he was walking past Dongbaekdo Island, he was fascinated by it and left the carved words "Hae Un Dae" on a stone wall on the island. Haeundae is 1.5 km long, 30~50m wide, and spans an area of 58,400㎡. The white sand is rough and sticks easily to your skin. The sand of this beach is composed of sand that comes from Chuncheon Stream and shells that have been naturally eroded by the wind over time. Haeundae Beach is also famous for the various cultural events and festivals held throughout the year. At Haeundae Beach there is a Folk Square where you can enjoy traditional games such as neoldduigi (seesaw jumping), Korean wrestling, tuho(arrow throwing), tug-of-war and yutnori. There is also the Beach Culture Center and the Beach Library. Numerous people visit every year from June to August.
