Chilgapsan Ice Fountain Festival
Chungcheongnam-do(Cheongyang-gun)

Chilgapsan Mountain was called the Alps of Chungcheongnam-do. Nestled at the foot of the peak of Chilgapsan Mountain, Cheonjang-ri Alps Village is located at a high degree as its name ‘Cheonjang’ (천장; ceiling) suggests. The village includes the trail path of Chilgapsan Mountain, Cheonjang Lake, Cheonjang Lake suspension bridge, Rural and Urban Interchange Center, international standard-sized stadium, restaurant, swimming pool, educational center, horse-riding center, and holiday villas (also known as pensions). Various festivals like Ice Fountain Festival, International Calabash Festival, and Chilgapsan Mountain Bean Festival are also held in this village.Ice Fountain Festival is held in the area of the Alps Villages in Cheongyang-gun, Chungcheongnam-do from December to February with seven different themes. Every corner of the venue has ice fountains, and snow sculptures that add an even more winter ambience to the festival. Snow sledding, ice sledding and bobsleigh are available for all visitors to ride. Seongeup Folk Village
Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Located at the foot of Mt. Halla on Jeju Island, Seongeup Folk Village is a small town that holds a vast amount of culture.Cultural properties in the folk village have been handed down from generation to generation and include treasures such as residential houses, Confucian shrines and schools, ancient government offices, stone statues, large millstones (pulled by horses or ox), fortress ruins, and stone monuments. Among the cultural gems of the folk village are intangible cultural assets such as folk plays, native foods, local folk craftsmanship, and local dialect. Even the trees are an important part of the area’s heritage. Several zelkova and nettle trees that are hundreds of years old stand at the center of the village, preserving the dignified atmosphere of a bygone era.The Seongeup Folk Village shows the unique culture of Jeju Island: the black lava rock walls, the straight but curvy alleys to block the wind, and the stone grandfather statues (Harubang), which have become a prime feature of the landscape. The local black-haired pigs and tongsi (pigsty / restroom) are especially well-known characteristics of Jeju folk culture. The Jeju black pork is said to be very nutritious.

Songtan Special Tourist Zone

The Songtan Special Tourist Zone in Pyeongtaek is located near a US military base and consists of shopping malls and entertainment facilities. It is often referred to as “Little Itaewon” because it bears a similarity with Itaewon’s alleys. Gongju Hanok Village

Gongju is called the ‘museum having no roof’ as it is full of various historical sites from the Baekje period. Located between the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong and Gongju National Museum, Gongju Hanok Village is comprised of new-style Korean houses combining new elements with the unique ambience of traditional Korean houses with underfloor heating, a pavilion and various hands-on program to learn about the history of Baekje. Coexisting between traditional and modern, the new-style hanok village opened in 2010, and spans over 9,000 pyeong (29,752.07㎡). There are 6 buildings for groups and 10 buildings for individuals, featuring different facilities. Locker rooms and shower rooms are equipped in the accommodations for groups, perfect for workshops or school trips and the buildings for individual visitors are comprised of three room types, including standard and premium.
