Guibin Dolsotbap is one of the top restaurants in Daejeon and one of the very first to offer dolsotbap (rice in sizzling stone bowl) meals. The restaurant was first opened in Daeheung-dong and later moved to the current location. Tables are set with 17 types of different side dishes. This restaurant serves vegetarian dishes cooked in traditional Jeonju style. All the dishes have mild flavors and are not spicy, so they are suitable for children, seniors, and foreigners. The dining halls on the first floor to the third floor are also appropriate for important gatherings or dining occasions.

When walking along Hyoja-ro Road from Gyeongbokgung Station, sights include a fountain, Mugunghwa Garden, Yeonmugwan Hall, Daegogak and Yeongbingwan Hall.Cheongwadae Sarangchae consists of one basement level and two above-ground levels, including Korean Culture Exhibition Hall, Planned Exhibition Hall, a gift shop, and rest area (Korean Food Promotion Hall, Café) on the first floor and Cheongwadae Hall and Haengboknuri Hall on the second floor. Daegogak Hall houses a book donated to former president, Kim Young-sam for expressing the past spirit of Sinmungo (Petitioner's drum from Korean History). Yeonmugwan Hall is a martial art and fitness center for guards. Mugunghwa Dongsan, formed after the ansa (Safe House) was demolished in 1993, includes a well, mock fortress, and rest area. Located behind Mugunghwa Dongsan is Apostolic Nunciature in Korea and Chilgung (Seven Palaces).At the beginning of the street in front of Cheongwadae, dense trees and beautiful flower gardens decorating both sides of the road make it a nice place for taking a walk. The area from the north gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace, Chunchumun, to the main gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace, Geonchunmun, is Samcheongdong-gil Road. This road is home to many art galleries, including Kukje Gallery, Growrich Gallery, Gallery Hyundai, and Jin Art gallery, in the area of Hyoja-ro.

Missionary Wilson's House

Missionary Wilson’s House is a two-story brick building that sits upon the eastern foothills of Yangnimsan Mountain. Known as the oldest surviving Western-style house in Gwangju, the house is an icon of modern culture and architecture in Korea. The house was built by an American missionary named Wilson in the 1920s (exact date unknown) and was the home of the Wilson family while they stayed in Korea. When the family completed their work in Korea, they sold the house for a very cheap price with the stipulation that the house continued to be used for missionary purposes. The house fell into the possession of the General Assembly of Chonnam Presbyterian Church of Korea in 1986 and now serves as the home office for the Presbyterian Church of Korea.The square-shaped house consists of a living room, a family room, a kitchen, and a bathroom (1F), several bedrooms (2F), and storage areas and a boiler room (B1). The fact that the entrance of the house faces east is said to be a result of the prevailing architectural culture of Korea at that time. A Netherland-style house built with 55-milimeter thick, gray bricks, the first and second stories are delineated on the exterior with an eye-catching band of bricks.

Chilgapsan Ice Fountain Festival
Chungcheongnam-do(Cheongyang-gun)

Chilgapsan Mountain was called the Alps of Chungcheongnam-do. Nestled at the foot of the peak of Chilgapsan Mountain, Cheonjang-ri Alps Village is located at a high degree as its name ‘Cheonjang’ (천장; ceiling) suggests. The village includes the trail path of Chilgapsan Mountain, Cheonjang Lake, Cheonjang Lake suspension bridge, Rural and Urban Interchange Center, international standard-sized stadium, restaurant, swimming pool, educational center, horse-riding center, and holiday villas (also known as pensions). Various festivals like Ice Fountain Festival, International Calabash Festival, and Chilgapsan Mountain Bean Festival are also held in this village.Ice Fountain Festival is held in the area of the Alps Villages in Cheongyang-gun, Chungcheongnam-do from December to February with seven different themes. Every corner of the venue has ice fountains, and snow sculptures that add an even more winter ambience to the festival. Snow sledding, ice sledding and bobsleigh are available for all visitors to ride.
