Yeonmudae Post is located inside Suwon's Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Situated on a relatively high hill between Changryongmun (the east gate of the fortress) and Hwahongmun (a north floodgate), Yeonmudae is an excellent military observation post with sweeping views of the inside of the fortress. After the fortress was completed in 1796, Yeonmudae was used as a training ground for troops for over two centuries, where they learned fighting skills involving swords, spears and arrows.At Yeonmudae, visitors can learn archery while wearing traditional military attire; the fortress also offers a wide array of performances for visitors to appreciate traditional Korean culture. Yeomudae is included in the Suwon City Tour course.

The Sunchang Gochujang Village (순창 고추장마을) is located at the foot of Mt. Amisan in Sunchang City, Jeollabuk-do. The village has a population of just 149 people who live in 46 Hanoks (traditional Korean style houses). When you first walk into the village you will notice rows of traditional hang-a-ri (large clay jar) all lined up everywhere you go transporting you back into Korea’s past. Actually, it has not been long since Sunchang Gochujang Village was established. Gochujang-making artisans from all over Sunchang-gun (county) in one village came together and started up this village.Every year in early November the village hosts the Sunchang Gochujang Festival drawing many visitors to the place for the many attractions nearby. The places include the Hoemunsan Natural Forest, a lovely woody area and historical site; Gangcheonsan County Park; Baegyangsa temple, beautifully scenic in the snowy winter; Churyeong Jangseungchon, a village where visitors can see various forms of jangseung (Korean totem poles made of wood); Hyangga Yuwonji, a public park famous for being the place where scholars would come to boat and live a peaceful life in these inspiring surroundings; and Naejangsan, a mountain that turns into a vision of fiery autumnal shades in the fall. 


Gyeonggi-do(Gwangmyeong-si)

Gwangmyeong Station is a KTX train station in Iljik-dong, Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do. It was originally built solely as a departure and arrival station for KTX but now additionally serves as a departure and arrival station for the KTX Gyeongbu Line. Gwangmyeong Station is some distance from the center of the city but the number of visitors using the station is steadily increasing as the station began to serve as a stop for trains bound to Pohang Station and trains on the Honam Express Line.

The Suwon Hyanggyo is one of the Confucian temple and school to teach local students in the Chosŏn Dynasty period (1392~ 1910).The Suwon Hyanggyo houses the memorial tables of Confucius, Mencius, and twenty-five notable historical Korean figures. The structure was originally built in the 22nd year of King Wonjong’s rule during the Goryeo era (918-1392) by Hwaseonggun, but was moved to its current location when Hwaseong Fortress was constructed.


Chungcheongnam-do(Buyeo-gun)

Baekjehyang is a Korean restaurant that serves traditional food. One of the restaurant's specialties is yeonipbap, the thick, glutinous rice and jujubes and beans wrapped in lotus leaves. Yeonipbap is served with ureong hoe muchim (seasoned raw snail), dubu (tofu) kimchi, spicy stir-fried pork and japchae (glass noodles with sauteed vegetables). Other specialties include ureong ssambap, a set menu of lettuce wraps and soybean paste snail stew, and meat bulgogi.
