Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

Daegwallyeong Recreational Forest, known as Korea’s famous pine tree forest, is full of pine trees that are about 17m in x_height and 36cm in circumference. It was designated as a suitable resting place to enjoy as it’s harmoniously situated in a valley surrounded by lush vegetation. There are comfortable lodging accommodations, and convenient facilities on the premises. Many family and couple visitors come here for the verdant scenery that includes a wild flower garden, yellow earth thatched cottage, a water mill, and a charcoal iron pot site. However, if plan to stay overnight at its lodging facilities it is good to bring food and washing utensils since there isn’t a convenient store nearby.As for lodging facilities, there are the Forest Cabins and forest Lodge. Rates at the Forest House range from 32,000 won to 110,000won depending on the size and the forest cultural recreation center ranges from 50,000won to 98,000won.


Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

Located along the Luxury Goods Street, or ‘Apgujeong Rodeo Street’ in Cheongdam-dong, Café De Paris serves the highest quality coffees and wines paired with dishes made from organic ingredients. Their cakes and breads are representative of their Parisian counterparts, which the store’s theme takes after. The café’s atmosphere is nice and quiet, and many small and mid-sized groups meet at the café to study or hold special events. The spacious area on 2nd floor is available for private events.


Jeollabuk-do(Wanju-gun)

Daedunsan Mountain is defined by the grandiose rock peaks of Macheondae, the summit, Chilseongbong and Janggunbong, as well as surrounding strange rocks and lush trees that make up Samseonbawi Rock, Yongmungul Cave and Geumgangmun Gate. The area spanning from Macheondae Peak to Nakjodae Peak along the northern ridge offers a magnificent spectacle, especially the sunrise and sunset views from Nakjodae. In addition, Okgyedong Valley with its crystal clear water flowing all year round is a great summer vacation spot. Meanwhile, since its official designation as a provincial park in 1977, Daedunsan Mountain Provincial Park has served as a scenic site equipped with recreational facilities including the newly installed cable cars and Geumgang Gureumdari (viaduct). A 5-minute cable car ride followed by a walk up the steep stairs leads to Geumgang Gureumdari, which is 81 meters high and 50 meters long across Imgeumbawi Rock and Ipseokdae Pedestal. The park is also home to historic temples including Taegosa Temple of Jinsan, Ansimsa Temple of Unju, and Sinsounsa Temple of Byeolgok.


Busan(Sasang-gu)

Gombo Sikdang is proud to have served various fresh raw meat like omasum and liver for over 30 years thanks to its location close to Gupo slaughterhouse. Galbisal (beef short ribs), yukhoe (beef tartare), Daechang sogeumgui (grilled tripe), and Gopchang-jeongol (beef tripe hot pot) are famous meals in the restaurants. Also, Seonji-guk (ox blood stew) served after meat is another tasty item on the menu here.

In the past, kimjang(kimchi-making) day was a day for sharing love, a day for festivals and feasting. Designated as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, kimjang has gone global and kimchi has become a classic, healthy food much loved by people around the world. With the first Seoul Kimchi Festival in 2014, the much forgotten Korean sharing spirit comes alive and kimjang was created into a cultural festival that has developed into a leading global sharing festival in Seoul. Celebrating the theme ‘Happy sharing, Kimjang day,’  the 4th Seoul Kimchi Festival will offer visitors opportunities to touch, feel and taste the unique Korean kimjang culture through various programs  such as Making&Sharing Kimchi, where over 5,000 people get together to  make kimchi for the underprivileged, Seoul Kimjanggan, where participants  get to try their hands at making kimchi for our families as well  the Kimchi Market and Kimchi Imagination Playground etc.  From November 3rd (Fri) to 5th (Sun), 2017, Kimjang Day! A festival with an authentic kimjang theme to create an enjoyable kimjang culture rich in traditional value. We hope that everyone will have a magical time at Seoul Kimchi Festival. Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Honinji is home to a myth that agriculture and farming started on Jeju Island when the Samsinin (three founding demi-gods) who lived in Jeju married the Samgongju (three princesses) and started raising cattle and ponies and planted the seeds of five grains. There is a pond here called Honinji Pond (pond of marriage) where, according to the legend, the wedding ceremony was held and three caves which served as bridal rooms. Together with Samseonghyeol (three large holes on the ground where the three demigods emerged from), Honinji is a great place for tracing the origin of the founders of Jeju Island. In the summer, the area is in full bloom with red lotus flowers.  


Gwangju(Gwangsan-gu)

Minsokchon (meaning ‘Folk Village’ in Korean) is a specialty restaurant featuring galbi(Grilled Short Rib) located in Singa-dong, Gwangju. With a traditional Korean-style interior design. It is popular among Koreans for the excellent taste of its galbi.
