Jeollabuk-do(Gunsan-si)

Gunsan Japanese-style House of Sinheung-dong was designated as Registered Cultural Heritage No. 183 in 2005. The area of Sinheung-dong, where the Hirotsu House is located, was a residential area for the wealthy class during the Japanese occupation period and the Hirotsu House was constructed by Hirotsu, a man who ran a linen shop. A lot of Korean movies and dramas such as ‘The General’s Son’, ‘Fighter in the Wind’, and ‘Tazza’ were filmed in this house. The house is a typical Japanese two-story timber house, keeping the original forms of its roof, outer walls, inside area and the Japanese-style garden which has significant meaning in regards to the architecture history.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

Silla Arts and Science Museum is located in Gyeongju Folk Craft Village, and displays miniature models of cultural assets in the region in order to promote the scientific principles of the cultural properties. On the first floor of the museum are cultural items including Sillawanggyeongdo, unearthed relics from Hwangnamdaechong Tomb and a reconstruction of relics from Namsan Mountain. The second floor houses a golden crown of Silla and Baekje, and Tripitaka Koreana of Haeinsa Temple. The basement has miniatures of Seokguram Grotto and Gunwisamjonseokbul in Palgongsan Mountain. Outside the museum, Gameunsaji and Cheomseongdae observatory are on display. The museum is unique for promoting scientific preservation methods of cultural relics based on a thorough analysis of their structure and genuine beauty.


Gyeonggi-do(Guri-si) , Guri

The Guri Hangang Park (구리 한강시민공원) offers a bastion where you can feel the cool breeze coming off the river and take a rest amidst the beautiful natural scenery. The park’s bounties of flowers are at their peak during May with the blossoming of field mustard, and October when the cosmos bloom in October.


Busan(Haeundae-gu) , Haeundae

Haeundae Station is located between Uil Station and Songjeong Station in U-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan. It began operating as an ordinary station on July 15, 1934 and stop handling cargo in 2006. The station handles ticket sales and is one of the stops on the Mugunghwa train route. Haeundae Beach is also nearby.  


Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)

Known as one of Korea’s leading short story novelists, Kim Yu-jeong (1908~1937) was born in Sille Village in Sindong-myeong, Chuncheon. A restoration of his birth house, the Kim Yu-jeong House of Literature is part of an effort to turn the whole village into a literature village, commemorating the novelist. The house has an exhibition hall, a walking path, and a hiking trail.Kim Yu-jeong spent a great deal of his life in Seoul and returned to his hometown in 1931 at the age of 23. He published his first novel 'Sangol Nageune (The Wanderer)' followed by numerous rural-based novels such as 'Dongbaekkkot (The Camellias)' and 'Bom bom (Spring)'.Inside the exhibition hall, his birth home and even a treadmill are reproduced in their original form. A variety of programs reproducing his works are on display.


Gangwon-do(Donghae-si)

Chuam Beach is a beach filled with a diverse variety of rock formations and coastal cliffs, where 150 meters of white sands leave you breathless. This beach is also called Haegeumgang Beach, due to its beautiful surrounding scenery. There is a lot to see on this rocky island, with its wild coastal cliffs boasting such formations as ‘Knife Rock’, ‘Candlestick Rock’, and of course caverns. The ‘Candlestick Rock’ is somewhat known to be symbolic of Chuam Beach, as it points sharply towards the heavens. Just behind ‘Candlestick Rock’ lies the summerhouse, Haeamjeong.The shoreline cliffs unfold into a panorama at the back of Haeamjeong, and at its front is the gorgeous view of the open ocean which can be taken in with just one glance. The quiet and shallow waters characterize Chuam Beach, making it perfect for the whole family to enjoy.


Jeollanam-do(Yeosu-si)

The Haengjusanseong Fortress (행주산성, historic site no. 56) atop Deogyangsan Mountain was the site of a major Korean victory against the enemy during the Japanese invasion 400 years ago. Women also participated in the dramatic battle, carrying stones in their aprons (haengju in Korean). The original date and purpose of the fortress’ construction remains a mystery, but it is believed the construction dates back to the ancient Baekje period, as many relics from that era have been excavated by archeological surveys. Inside the fortress is Chungjangsa, a shrine paying tribute to General Gwon Yul who led the victorious effort. Transportation to the fortress has become much more convenient with the opening of the Jayuro road and the completion of the Haengju Bridge, making the fortress a popular destination on holidays.* Haengju Great Victory FestivalReligious ceremonies and many other cultural events are held on March 14 every year in memory of General Gwon who won the battle and saved the nation.


Seoul(Gangseo-gu) , The Western Part of the Seoul
