Gangguan Port Geobukseon Ship
Gyeongsangnam-do(Tongyeong-si)

Gangguan Port Geobukseon is life-size reconstruction of a Geobukseon ship constructed by the South Korean Navy and commissioned by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to commemorate the patriotic spirit of Admiral Chungmugong Lee Sun-Sin. The 2.2-billion-won project was completed in the downstream area of the Hangang River (part of the DMZ), which previously had limited public access. After that, the area was opened to the public for the first time in 52 years (since the division of the peninsula) to allow the Geobukseon Ship to travel from Hangang Park to Tongyeong-si. Korea Military Academy

The Korea Military Academy is famous for strict discipline, patriotism, and officer pupils. In the past this was not an open place to the public, but since 1997 it has become a new tourist site. There is now a touring course which is the main attraction for visitors. The tour starts at the School Information Center to the museum, memorial hall and the exhibition, which takes approximately an hour and thirty minutes. The Army Museum holds various military treasures and remains, and at the memorial hall you can learn more about the history of the army. However the highlight of the tour is the parade of the pupils. You can watch the students march with their flourishing formal suits. You can also see this at the “Hwarang Ceremony”.

Seoul International Marathon

Seoul International Marathon is an international competition with 20,000 participants. The course begins at Gwanghwamun Square Sageori (four-way intersection) and runs to Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium, covering a total distance of over 42.195km. Nongae Shrine
Jeollabuk-do(Jangsu-gun)

Uiamsa Shrine was built to the memory of Chu Nongae, who sacrificed her life during the Imjin War (Japanese Invasion of Korea). In 1846, the Nongae-saeng-jang-hyang-su-myeong-bi monument was put up in praise of Nongae’s patriotism. In 1955, a shrine was built and named Uiamsa, which was then moved to the current location in 1974. Within the precincts of the shrine are a memorial stone, the portrait of Nongae by artist Kim Eun-ho, and the three gates Woesammun, Naesammun and Chunguimun erected one after another. At the memorial hall, the existing possessions of Nongae and her husband General Choi Gyeong-hoe are on display. The annual Nongae Festival takes places on September 3rd by the lunar calendar, during which memorial services and cultural events are held to commemorate Nongae.

The various art products of paper toys, cell phone cases, mug cups, and eco bags designed and produced by hand by Mouse Rabbit is popular with its fans.  Mouse Rabbit was named after the animals mouse and rabbit representing Yesung and his brother running the café.  The showcase within the store is full of Yesung’s pictures, and because you can purchase art products manufactured by Mouse Rabbit, fans are unceasingly visiting the café.  At the end of 2015, with the popularity of Mouse Rabbit’s Konkuk University Store, the second store of Mouse Rabbit was opened at Seochon, a new hotplace selling coffee, beer, handmade desserts and snacks.
