Oegosan Onggi Village

Oegosan Onggi Village is the largest producer of traditional onggi (earthenware) in Korea. The village was established by artisans and potters from all over Korea to practice and preserve the tradition of onggi craft. The village itself is a massive collection of various earthenware products, creating unique folk village scenery. Also, a range of facilities are located inside the village for visitors to explore the culture of onggi. They include Onggi Cultural Center displaying the history and culture of onggi products, Village Information Center equipped with the village history hall, multimedia room and seminar room, and Onggi Academy used for conducting hands-on learning programs and cultivating professional artisans. Visitors can observe the crafting of onggi products, while making their own. Since 2000, the annual Oegosan Onggi Festival has been held every October to celebrate the tradition and practice of onggi crafts. Meanwhile, in 2011, the onggi pottery standing over two meters high in the village was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Yongdusan Jagalchi Special Tourist Zone covers the area around Gwangbok-dong in Busan, which includes Yongdusan Park and the well-known traditional markets such as Jagalchi Market, Gukje Market and Bupyeong Market, which are filled with life and energy. Gwangbok-dong area is always crowded with young tourists as well as young locals enjoying the vibrant shopping street and affordable street food. At Yongdusan Park, visitors can enjoy a panoramic sight of Busan, and the night view from the park should not be missed. There is an escalator to take visitors up to Yongdusan Park. Jagalchi Market and Gukje Market retain some traces of what Busan used to be like in the 1970s and 1980s, and that is why these markets are popular among the middle-aged as well as young people. There are a lot of marine products and food to eat. In particular, Gomjangeo (inshore hagfish) street in Jagalchi Market is well known, along with the restaurants that serve the grilled fish at affordable prices. The Busan International Film Festival and the Busan Jagalchi Festival take place in the autumn. There are dozens of secondhand bookstores in Bosu-dong Book Alley where people can freely purchase, sell, read or browse secondhand books. Apart from Jagalchi Market and Film Street, the area around Nampo-dong, together with Haeundae Special Tourist Zone, is famous for holding the Busan International Film Festival. On the Food Street, which spans from Film Street to Gukje Market via Arirang Street, are street vendors selling food such as ssiat hotteok (seed-stuffed Korean-style pancake), bibim dangmyeon (spicy sweet potato noodles) and patbingsu (shaved ice with sweetened red beans). There are also restaurants serving jokbal (steamed pig trotters,) dwaejigalbi (grilled spareribs) and gopchang (grilled beef or pork intestine). It is the perfect place for visitors to enjoy unique Korean food. Misiryeong Valley
Gangwon-do(Inje-gun)

Misiryeong Valley is about 5 km in length and starts from Yongdae-samgeori and extends in a northeasterly direction to Dojeok Pokpo Waterfall. At Misiryeong Valley the water is clean and many Giam cliffs can be seen. You can also find the rarely known Dojeok Pokpo Waterfall and Chotdae Bawi Rock. On the way to Inje from Dojeok Waterfall, you will come across Seon Bawi Rock, where you can relax and rest. From beyond that point, the valley is 2.5 km long ending at Yongdae-samgeori. You must hold on to a rope while climbing down the steep pathway to Dojeok Pokpo Waterfall. There is a myth saying that Dojeok, meaning thief in Korean, hid until he discovered a person passing through Misiryeong. When a person appeared, the thief would rob the person kill the traveler by drowning him/her in the waterfall. Therefore, the waterfall was named Dojeok Pokpo (Waterfall) or Dojeokso (Pond). Misiryeong Valley still preserves its beauty of primeval forest and has relatively low temperature during summer. The surrounding areas consist of many tourist sites such as Baekdamsa Temple, Yongdae Nature Recreation Area, the Valley of the Twelve Angels' Bath, Oknyeotang, Jangsudae, Daeseung Waterfall and Pillye Mineral Spring.

Hanseong Baekje Cultural Festival
Seoul(Songpa-gu)

The Hanseong Baekje Cultural Festival is held at Peace Square of Olympic Park in Seoul. The festival is a leading traditional cultural festival of Seoul, highlighting the 493 years of history and culture of Hanseong Baekje.Hanseong Baekje refers to the era between 18 BCE and 275 CE of Baekje - one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, together with Goguryeo and Silla-- before it moved its capital to Ungjin (now Gongju) in 475. The festival features various folk performances, musical, family concert, food festival, and photo contest.The Peace Square of the Olympic Park, which is the venue of the festival, can be accessed from Mongchontoseong station on Seoul Subway Line 8 (Exit 1, 200 meters from the station; it takes 7 minutes-10 minutes on foot).

Jangsado Sea Park
Gyeongsangnam-do(Tongyeong-si)

Located in Hansan-myeon, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, Jangsado Island is an island that is just 400 m in x_width, and 1.9 km in length, reaching an altitude of 108 m with total area of 390,131㎡. The island’s trees number approximately 100,000, with numerous camellia trees, and other varieties including silver magnolia. It also has beautiful fairy pitta birds, a natural monument, in addition to white eye birds. Local plants representative of Jangsado Island include aerides and dendrobium monile. The island’s name derives from its long shape, which resembles a silkworm (“jam” is a Chinese character that means “silkworm”).Located on Geoje Island, Hallyeohaesang National Park Korea is famous for its beautiful Camellia flowers that bloom in winter. The whole area of Island is covered with hydrangea in summer featuring different beauty of each season. Most of plants consists of evergreen trees which makes the island the greenness all year long.The island embraces its natural surrounding at maximum to preserve their natural beauty by the minimum of development. The eco-friendly park houses various sculptures and artistic pieces every place, and various performances are taken at outdoor performance hall which can accommodate up to 1,000 seats. So the park features a new-concept of cultural marine park, co-existing nature and culture alike.
