Gyeongsangbuk-do(Mungyeong-si)

“Human-powered gliders” refer to gliders under 50kg that can be operated by shifting one’s weight; this include devices such as hang gliders and paragliders. Paragliding, despite its short history, is the most popular type of human-powered glider. Mungyeong Flying Land, a top paragliding facility, is conveniently located in Mungyeong, which offers excellent conditions for this amazing sport. Mungyeong’s geography creates an excellent updraft and steady winds, and the area’s total absence of high-tension wires means plenty of wide-open space for a safe landing. Mungyeong Flying Land is surrounded by outstanding mountains (Juheulsan, Joryeongsan, and Seongjubong) giving visitors a unique and exciting flying experience. Busan(Jung-gu)

Located in Gukje Market near Gwangbokno Road at the heart of Busan, Keunjip restaurant is quite accessible; but it is a little difficult for first-time visitors to locate the exact entrance. Still, the serving staff welcomes everyone at the door and offers a variety of seafood ‘jjim’ (steamed dishes) and ‘hanjeongsik’ (Korean table d’hote). Don’t forget to try Keun Jip’s ‘bulgogi jjim’ (marinated and steamed beef) served with tasty ‘gejang’ (uncooked crab preserved in soy sauce), everyone’s favorite ‘kimchi’, nutritious ‘toran’ (taro dishes), and 10 other side dishes. Another delicacy is ‘haemul jjim’ (steamed seafood) which is seasoned with hot spices and served with ‘kongnamul’ (bean sprouts).


Gwangju(Dong-gu)

This hanok (traditional Korean house) guesthouse is located in a quiet residential area in Sansu-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju. There are four rooms in total, all with ondol (under-the-floor heating system). Seoseokdae and Jungmeorijae rooms can accommodate up to 4, while Jangbuljae and Ipseokdae rooms have a maximum occupancy of 3. Reservations are made for one guest, and guests under age 5 can stay free of charge. Each room has an attached bathroom and is equipped with a refrigerator. A common washing machine is located in the outer restroom. Breakfast features a pumpkin porridge made by the owner. There are no separate parking spaces in the building, but visitors can use the public parking lot nearby. Traditional cultural programs offered on site include natural dye, rice cake making, hand mirror making with pressed flowers, sweet rice balls/puffs making, succulent plant pot making, candle making, and fan making.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongju-si)

Sosu Museum aims to consolidate and organize the nation’s traditional Confucian legacy and to establish the root of the national spirit through Sosuseowon, the first Confucian academy ever created in Korea. As a Mecca of Joseon Dynasty’s Confucianism, the museum is the only Confucian museum where you can experience the very valuable legacy of the Confucian culture and the history (the rise and fall) of Confucianism during the Joseon Dynasty. The museum opened on September 22, 2004 and since then, it has been a place where one can experience the dynamic historical adventure through valuable Confucian relics and remains. The museum also aims to revitalize the local culture of the Yeongju area by showcasing those well-preserved cultural assets and items.

The Busan Christmas Tree Festival, Busan's annual winter event, will be held in the Gwangbok-ro area of the Jung-gu District in Busan. To add a more festive atmosphere, there will be concerts, a tree of wishes, street performances, collecting love coins, a photo and video contest, and many more.  


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geoje-si)

Samsung Hotel Geoje was established by Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. with the purpose of providing a place to stay for those visiting the docks, particularly engineers on business trips, ship owners, and guests to ship naming ceremonies. Among local residents, the hotel has become a popular spot for holding parties and celebrations. Thanks to the hotel’s location near Haegeumgang, Oedo, and Hakdong beaches and other natural sites, the hotel has also become a favorite among tourists to the area.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongju-si)

The Yeongju Seonbi Culture Festival takes place from early to mid May every year at the Seonbichon Village and Korean Seonbi Culture Training Center in Sunheung-myeon, Yeongju-si. A celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony is held on the first day, marking the beginning of the festivities. Other activities included a calligraphy performance, Seonghaksipdo Pangakgoyje ceremony and a bibimbap performance added more fun and entertainment to the first day. Following the opening celebration, a special parade entitled ‘Shinbaram Street Parade’ inspired by the ideals, spirit and patriotism of Sambong Jeong Do-Jeon (one of the major figures in Yeongju) takes place. Other festival events include Jangseong (traditional totem pole) sculpting competition, Sobaeksan Mountain Trail Hiking, Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) Cooking Competition, traditional wedding ceremony for multi-cultural families, Hanbok (Korean traditional costume) fashion show, writing contest, children’s Seonbi exercise presentation, traditional head of the family cuisine exhibition, and a concert at an time-honored traditional house. Gyeonggi-do(Gapyeong-gun)
