Jeollabuk-do(Jeonju-si)

The aim of the Korean Folk Art Festival is encourage visitors to discover and preserve Korea’s traditional folk art while fostering the public’s awareness of traditional culture. The final selection at the festival will include folk songs, traditional dances, local arts from Seoul, Busan, and Daegu, and more.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Yangsan-si)

Tongdo Fantasia (통도 환타지아) is located in Yangsan, Gyeongsangnam-do Province, which shares borders with Milyang, Ulsan and Busan. This makes the amusement park very accessible by any means of transportation. Tongdo Fantasia operates Tongdo Country Club as well, and nearby Tongdosa Temple (통도사) is also available for visitors who want to look around the local historic sites. The amusement park, the biggest theme park in Gyeongsangnam-do Province sitting at the foot of Mt. Yeongchwisan (영취산), has over 30 amusement facilities, a large-scale swimming pool, a natural lake, a plaza available for holding various events and a large-scale outdoor theatre, all offering various activities and events.


Gangwon-do(Yeongwol-gun)

Seonam Village (선암마을) is a small town located on the banks of the Seogang River in Ongjeong-ri, Seo-myeon, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do province. The village is famous for its land formation that is shaped like the Korean Peninsula, due to the river snaking around the village forming an outline in the shape of the peninsula. In the summer, many people come to enjoy rafting from the "East Coast" to the "West Coast" of the peninsula-like cliff formation, with Homigot (호미곶) in the south and Baekdusan Mountain in the North.


Incheon(Ganghwa-gun) , Ganghwado Island

Ganghwa Armiae World is a theme park with Ganghwa mugwort as its theme. The mugwort of Ganghwado Island is widely known for its great medicinal effects. Armiae means “creating beauty through mugwort.” Armiae World provides its visitors with various opportunities to experience Ganghwa mugwort.Mugwort Korean Beef Restaurant serves quality beef from cattle fed Ganghwa mugwort. The restaurant features a modern interior with beautiful views of the surrounding area. The Mugwort Experience Hall presents various mugwort-related experience programs such as a spa, foot bath, and sitz bath. The Agricultural Exhibition Hall provides a childrens' interactive experience about the value of farming, and the Onsaemiro Maze Park offers a history trip of Ganghwa greenhouses along the labyrinth. Other facilities include the Pottery Experience Hall, Ganghwa Agricultural Goods Sales Office, outdoor lawn square for events and picnics, and a processing plant for agricultural and indigenous products including mugwort.Armiae World is located at the foot of Hyeolgusan Mountain, which is well-known for beautiful azalea flowers in the spring. Providing hands-on experiences in farming, Armiae World is emerging as a unique tourist attraction of Ganghwado Island.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Gimhae-si)

Eunhasa Temple is located in Shineosan Mountain in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do Province. Legend has it that monk Jangyuhwasang built the temple after studying Buddhism in India. Despite being relatively small in size, the temple has a long history and it is also a place where many monks stayed to study during the Shilla and Goryeo times. The temple is also well-known as a filming location of the Korean movie “Dalmaya Nolja (Let's Play, Dharma).”


Gangwon-do(Hwacheon-gun)

Situated in Aemakgol (Dongchon-ri, Hwacheon-eup), this spacious dam is a popular destinations for those visiting the area near the DMZ. Built against possible North Korean water attacks, the dam curbs the upstream Bukhangang River. With the development of nearby tourism resources (including the Iron Triangle, Yanggu Punch Bowl Battle Battlefield, and the Goseong Unification Observatory), the dam has become a favorite tourist attraction in recent years. 


Chungcheongbuk-do(Goesan-gun)

The Goesan Red Pepper Festival is held during harvest season to promote the excellence of peppers grown in Goesan, a major production area of Korea. The festival has numerous programs, including pepper-picking and fish-catching contest (using the bare hands), pepper recipe competition, pepper cooking contest, and garden pepper planting. Brightly colored and full of flavor, Korean peppers are a particularly popular agricultural product. This is a fun festival where visitors can taste or buy Korean peppers, and talk with farmers. Main Event Prayer ritual for a rich year and residents' peace in the county, opening performance, KBS National singing Contest, recreations, etc. Exhibition Exhibition of worldwide pepper, exhibition of food made with pepper, etc. Hands-on program Catching weatherfishes with their bare hands, pepper fishing, pepper kite-flying, culture experience of multi-cultural family, experience center for well-being health, etc.


Jeollanam-do(Jangseong-gun)

Jangseong Baegyang Maple Festival is held in the Baegyangsa Temple area of Baegamsan Mountain. Performances include "maple's harmony," "nostalgia 7080," and a music concert in the maple forest. Hands-on programs include hand painting maple ceramics, making maple bookmarks, and other exhibtions and additional events for visitors.


Gangwon-do(Hongcheon-gun)

Hongcheon Ginkgo Forest is only open to the public during the month of October. This private forest was planted and has been maintained by one man for 30 years. He settled down in the area in 1985 with his wife who suffered from chronic indigestion. He started planting the ginkgo tree seeding on his spacious field after he heard about the medicinal effects of the mineral waters from Sambong Yaksu at the foot of Odaesan Mountain. The forest remained private until 2010, when its popularity spread by word of mouth. Since then, the owner has graciously agreed to open his private land up to the public for free during the month of October, when the whole forest takes on a golden hue.


Jeollanam-do(Damyang-gun)

Damyang Changpyeong Samjinae Village was the first Korean place designated as a slow city in 2007. Compared with the fast-changing city life, the village seeks a slow life, experiencing regional cultures and food, surrounded by nature.
