Ulsan(Ulju-gun)

Dodong Sanbang is a restaurant with five separate traditional Korean buildings situated on a large plot of land. It serves great traditional Korean set meals, and has a separate tea room where customers can enjoy a cup of tea after dining. Excluding winter, the restaurant offers a special program called “tteok mechigi” (rice cake pounding) where customers are invited to pound (or make) a rice cake with a mallet and eat it. The restaurant also includes a traditional souvenir shop and rice cake shop, and offers cultural programs.

[Event introduction] Ulsan Grand Park Light Festival started in 2016 to provide citizen more enjoyment during winter. For the past two years, more than 250,000 visitors have come to the festival with over 40% of the visitors from outside of Ulsan. This year’s festival with a title “Draw the light dream,” offering 5 different themes, will be held for 51 days from December 8, 2018 to January 27, 2019. The highlight of the festival is the 11m high star structure in front of the Rose Garden Fountain where amazing multimedia lighting show will be displayed.


Gyeonggi-do(Paju-si)

The Deodeok course meal, which offers a unique savory and chewy taste, is one of the most popular items on the menu along with the mountain vegetable and vegetable bibimbap. In addition to the main menu, as many as 20 different delicious side dishes are provided as well. Since the restaurant is located in Magoksa Temple, the 6th temple of the Korean Buddhist Jogye Order, make sure to talk a walk around the temple grounds after your meal.

Muju Namdaecheon Stream Ice Festival is held in areas near Muju Namdaecheon Stream. Visitors can take part in many fun winter activities including fishing for trout, sledding and more.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Jinju-si)

Located in Jinju-si, Gyeongnam, Somnus is facing Namgang right in front of Jinju Castle where Nongae’s fidelity is still alive who sacrified herself for patriotic loyalty. It is convenient place for tourists who use public transportation because the terminal is located in 3 minutes walking distance. Gwangju(Buk-gu)

In the flower district, visitors can see more than 170,000 kinds of wild flowers including azaleas, forsythia, smile rosebay, roses, royal azaleas and hydrangeas. Visitors may also enjoy the picturesque view of over 3000 kinds of trees including snowbells, quince, Chinese parasol trees, Japanese maples, and Metasequoia trees. At the wetlands district, you may actually see how birds hatch and grow! Since the Eco Park is only 30 minutes away from downtown Gwangju, it is a popular place for citizens during the warmer months.
