The village is also open to the general public for hands-on experience of the nature and quality rest. In the stream flowing in front of the village, you may even catch crawfish and marsh snail which inhabit only in the cleanest water (first-rating water). Bibimbap Guesthouse is located in Ikseon-dong, Jongno-gu, which is known for old stores, bars, and rustic hanok buildings with charms different from other hanok villages such as Seochon and Bukchon. It is run by young brothers based on their know-how accumulated from working at other guesthouses for several years. This hanok-style guesthouse was named “Bibimbap” in the hope that it will be a house for everyone that retains various aspects of Korea. In keeping with its name, the guesthouse serves Bibimbap for breakfast. It is popular among foreign guests because the guesthouse is adjacent to Korea’s major cultural heritages including Changdeokgung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Jongmyo Shrine as well as other interesting attractions such as Nagwon Arcade. Bibimbap Guesthouse was established by modernizing a hanok building over 100 years old and opened in April 2015. Every room has two windows for ventilation as well as air conditioner and toilets. The laundry room is also designed for communal use. It has a total of seven rooms – 1 single room, 1 triple room, 1 family room, and 4 twin rooms. Every room has a mattress for those who are not familiar with the Korean-style (floor-heated) room and a subtle lighting system under the maroon-colored rafters. It also offers a Korean traditional clothes experience free of charge for guests. Guests are recommended to walk around the area of Ikseon-dong -- nicknamed “a village where time stood still” -- and which provides its unique charms. Its surrounding tourist destinations include Insa-dong, Samcheong-dong, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, and Changdeokgung Palace.

Gohan Hambaeksan Wildflower Festival

Hambaeksan Mountain is the highest mountain on the Baekdudaegan Range that is accessible by car. Additionally, the area is a major coal reserve site and the industrial train Taebaek Line passes over the northern part of the mountain. Built by Monk Jajang Yulsa during the 5th year of the Great Queen Seondeok Period, Jeongamsa Temple is close to a natural habitat of Manchurian trout, designated as Natural Monument No. 73 and has a seven-story stone brick pagoda, designated as Natural Treasure No. 410. Roads from Manhangjae Hill and Dumundongjae Hill to the top of the mountain have picturesque views. A range of wild flowers bloom every season in the area, creating beautiful scenery. Gohan Hambaeksan Wildflower Festival takes place throughout Hambaeksan Mountain, Manhangjae Hill and Dumundongjae Hill.

Hambyeongnu Pavilion
Gyeongsangnam-do(Hapcheon-gun)

Included in Hapcheon's 8 Best Landscapes, Hambyeongnu Pavilion was built in 1321 A.D., during the 8th year of Goryeo's King Chungsuk by Hapcheon county lord Kim Mo. It is located on the banks of Hwanggang River, below Yeonhosa Temple and Dayaseong Fortress. The pavilion was visited by many poets, with writings from Toegye Yi Hwang, Nammyeong Josil, and Wooam Song Si-yeol hanging from tablets inside, and a rock engraved with "Hambyeongnu" behind the pavilion. Hambyeongnu is a 3 pillar wide by 2 pillar deep, 2-story pavillion, with an octagonal roof connected with a frame of five parts. The roof of the pavilion is famous in that when it rains, the water drips straight off the eaves and into the river below.

Jangjeon Art Museum
Jeollanam-do(Jindo-gun)

Located in Jindo-gun (Jeollanam-do), Jangjeon Art Museum (Formerly, Namjin Art Museum) was founded by a calligrapher named Ha Nam Ho in 2003. It is a three-story building with five exhibit halls that display various genres of art such as Korean paintings, Western paintings, calligraphy and sculpture. Over 350 pieces of work are on display, all of which are part of the collection of founder Ha Nam Ho. The artwork includes creations by deceased artists, veteran artists, and modern artists and includes Goryeo celadon, Joseon porcelain and much more. The name “Namjin” is made up of the founder’s middle name “Nam” and his wife’s name “Jin.” The little hill next to the museum is thick with pine trees, and the clear water in the nearby valleys adds to the peaceful museum atmosphere. The museum is closed on Mondays; Opening hours are from 10am to 6pm.
