Palgongsan Natural Park
Daegu(Dong-gu)

Palgongsan Natural Park is locates close to Palgongsan Mountain, one of the larger mountains in the Taebaek mountain range. Palgongsan Mountain is located 20km northeast from downtown Daegu, where Nakdonggang River and Geumhogang River meet. The mountain has three peaks in a row: Birobong Peak in the center and Dongbong (aka ‘Mitabong,’ 1,155m) and Seobong (aka ‘Samseongbong,’ 1,150m) on each side. The park (30.593㎢ in size) is within the administrative district of Dong-gu, Daegu and has four towns along its border including Yeongcheon-si, Gyeongsan-si, and Chilgok-gun. A number of Buddhist temples including Donghwasa, the headquarters of the 9th Buddhist Parish, are located in the area. The park has numerous rocks and valleys and is carpeted with azaleas in the spring. In the autumn many visitors flock to the park to admire the falls leaves on the trees lining the 16.3km-long roadway that runs through the park. With vibrant green leaves in spring and a delicate snowscape in the winter, Palgongsan Mountain is an attractive destination for visitors throughout the year.

Dosun Dawon Tea Plantation

Dosun Dawon Tea Plantation is Korea's first tea plantation to build and operate a modern tea-manufacturing factory. The plantation is an eco-tourism destination that aims to contribute in reducing carbon dioxide and improve the local economy through green tea production. Despite the large field that covers an area of approx. 264,400 ㎡, Dosun Dawon Tea Plantation is not very well known among tourists. However, the plantation is frequented by photographers who visit to take snapshots of the vast field against the backdrop of Hallasan Mountain or Jeju's beautiful ocean.

Deogyusan Mountain Deogyudae Campsite

Deogyusan Mountain was designated as Korea's 10th National Park in 1975, along with Odaesan Mountain.  To the east is Gayasan Mountain, the west Naejangsan Mountain, the south Jirisan Mountain, and to the north Gyeryongsan and Songninsan Mountains. The auto campsite, located inside Deogyusan National Park, has a clean and organized surroundings due to the divided grass-covered sections.

Surfyy Beach is a 1 kilometer-long surf designated beach, just north of Hajodae Beach in Yangyang. It's the first of its kind in Korea and has the most trainers and approximately 1,000 surfboards while also operating Surf School. Training is available for all different levels from beginners to advanced, and for those only looking to surf, board and wetsuits are available for rent. Surf yoga, longboard, snorkeling and other programs are also available. The beach has various zones including bean bag zone, hammock zone, chilling zone, and sunbed zone for visitors to enjoy. There are also pub & lounge, camping facilities and more for visitors convenience.

Busan International Travel Fair (BITF) offers a look into world travel and culture, with about 210 participating companies from 30 countries. About the Fair: The Busan International Travel Fair takes place at BEXCO, the very location where 2005 APEC was held. This fair is open to everyone interested in travel and culture. BEXCO installed an APEC promotional hall and hosted cultural shows during the 2005 APEC. Korea’s local government bodies will be there to introduce Korea’s provincial tour resources and culture. The Travel Industry section’s participants include local government bodies and travel industries. The International Exchange section’s participants include international companies, cities, and foreign government bodies. Visitors will have access to a variety of information through these sectors. The center stage in the exhibition hall will hold cultural performances from all over the world, and also show promotional screen images.
