Jeollabuk-do(Muju-gun)

Located in Deogyusan National Park in Muju, North Jeolla Province, Dasup Pension is the best place to experience the clear air and beautiful nature of Deogyusan Mountain. Its front is dominated by the Gucheondong Valley, while the back is surrounded by the changing faces of Deogyusan Mountain across the seasons. The first Seoul International Book Fair was launched in 1995, the 50th anniversary of Korean Independence Day, in the presence of former President Kim Young Sam and then President of International Publishers Association, Fernano Guedes. It is held annually by Korea Publishers Association in order to promote Korean publications abroad, to strengthen the competitiveness of the publishing industry, to promote reading among the public, and to allow the public to enjoy diverse cultures through literature. Located close to Munpilbong Peak, Yeonjabong Peak is named for its resemblance to the tip of a brush. Legend has it that writers who visit the peak will receive inspiration and become famous. Visitors can take a 5-minute cable car ride to reach the peak, where they will find a two-storey octagonal observatory.
