Felix by STX is a lifestyle hotel brand newly introduced by STX Hotel & Suite. Located in Busan's famous Haeundae, the hotel has a holiday resort feel as well as a city hotel atmosphere. The lobby and the reception are located on the 6th floor. Check in to the hotel, get a room assigned, and then move up to the room. The guest rooms are located from the 7th floor to the 39th floor. There is a total of 353 guest rooms ranging in type, including Studio Deluxe Double, Studio Deluxe Twin, Suite Deluxe Double, Suite Deluxe Twin, Suite Premium Double, Suite Ocean Double, Suite Premium Family, and Suite Ocean Family. The Studio Deluxe rooms have a neat interior design with practical use of space. The Suite rooms have separate bedrooms and living rooms. A unique feature of the guest rooms at Felix by STX is that cooking is allowed inside the guest rooms. Each room has a kitchen sink, an induction stove, a dining table, and tableware for simple cooking. On the 5th floor is a restaurant called Felle and a cafe called Paul Bassett. An indoor gym is located on the 4th floor and there is a laundromat on the 3rd floor. Parking is also convenient since there are plenty of parking spaces on five underground levels. Geumseongsanseong Fortress
Jeollanam-do(Damyang-gun)

Geumseongsanseong Fortress in Geumseongsan Mountain (603m) forms a boundary between two small villages located on the border of two provinces (Geumseong-myeon, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do and Sunchang-gun, Jeollabuk-do) and is one of the three popular mountains of the Honam region (the Southwestern region of Korea that includes Jeollanam-do and Jeollabuk-do). The fortress is surrounded by two walls connecting Cheolmabong Peak, Undaebong Peak, and Jangdaebong Peak. The total length of the outer wall is 6.486 meters and inner wall is 859 meters. Historians are uncertain about the year the fortress was built, and have concluded that it dates back to the Three Kingdoms Period (57 BCE – 676 CE) based on an examination of the ruins and remains discovered in the surrounding area. The fortress was reconstructed in 1409 and repaired in 1610 after the Imjin War (1592-1598). Located in Hongcheon, Gwangwon-do Province, which is well-known for its clean air and water, Gohyangui Bom is a hanok (traditional Korean house) style of pension surrounded by a beautiful natural environment including Palbongsan Mountain to its rear and the Hongcheongang River flowing in front. The pension was built as a hanok structure with special materials such as pine wood from Unduryeong Hill at the foot of Gyebangsan Mountain and pure red clay. Many guests visit the pension again because of the clear spirit of nature and the good energy emanating from the hanok, which is said to help guests recover from fatigue and revitalize themselves. In addition, it offers guests an opportunity to swim and play in the shallow depths of the Hongcheongang River and walk along the beautiful Palbongsan Mountain hiking course. Moreover, it is adjacent to such renowned tourist attractions as Gugok Falls (near Bonghwasan Mountain; 30 minutes’ drive), which twist and turn nine times before plunging sharply downwards,; and Vivaldi Park Ocean World, which is a popular resort packed with thrilling and exciting attractions. The pension has five guestrooms – Sarang-bang 1 and 2 on the first floor, and Hwangto-bang 1, 2, and 3 on the ground floor. Sarang-bang 1 is equipped with a large living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and fireplace (only for winter), while Sarang-bang 2 is composed of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an outdoor table, and a karaoke (norae-bang) facility. Hwangtobang 1, 2, and 3 are built with red clay. Hwangto-bang 1 is equipped with a living room and a bedroom; Hwangto-bang 2 with a living room and two bedrooms; and Hwangto-bang 3 consists of one room. All of the rooms are equipped with a bathroom, kitchen, air conditioner, fridge, and toiletries. The pension is also a great place for large family meetings and company workshops as well as for friends or couples. The pension is also famous for its buffet style of breakfast, which includes rice and soup cooked by the host with local organic ingredients. Guests can also request a dinner cooked according to their preferences. Its most popular dishes include BBQ, chicken soup with rice, spicy stir-fried chicken and others dishes prepared according to guests’ preferences. The breakfast costs KRW 7,000 per person, while the dinner menu and cost can be discussed when making a reservation. The pension recommends that guests spend a whole day in the hanok’s peaceful natural environment. Guests can set up a tent on the pension’s outdoor lawn, watch a movie, enjoy a BBQ party, and make a campfire at night to create romantic memories. The deck placed across the river is another popular place for taking a nap or relaxing in the cool breeze.

[Ganghwa Nadeul-gil Course 8] A Bird Watching Road ([강화 나들길 제8코스] 철새 보러 가는 길)

Nadeul-gil means a leisurely outing (nadeuri) road. Comprised of 19 courses in total, the Ganghwa Nadeul-gil Trail offers a variety of historical assets and cultural sites to see. Each Nadeul-gil course connects Ganghwa Fortress outposts that are located every 1.3 km on high ground along the walking paths. The trails are on the island of Ganghwa which holds many Goryeo Dynasty remains that are important to Korean history. Fortresses that stood against Mongolian invasions are still standing and many of the Goryeo Kingdom’s palaces and royal tomb sites are also found in Ganghwa region. Exploring the major cultural heritage sites dispersed throughout the town can be just as fun as exploring Ganghwa’s natural beauty. The sunset on the Seohae (West coast), expansive open mud flats, views from Marisan and Goryeosan Mountains and the peaceful farming villages are just a handful of the sights along this walking trail. The establishment of Ganghwa Nadeul-gil’s begins with the ancient scholar Go Jae-hyeong (pen name Hwanam), who left his hometown Ganghwa on a spring day in 1906 when the peach trees were in full bloom. He walked through more than 100 villages around the whole island. Back home, he composed poems about his journey and published them under the title of “Simdo Gihaeng (Simdo Travels),” Simdo being another name for Ganghwa. During his travels, he sang songs of his home Ganghwa. Thanks to his work, people can now follow in the footsteps of Hwanam and his appreciation of the beautiful scenery and great people of Ganghwa Island.
