Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Gwangju(Gwangsan-gu)

Built more than 80 years ago, Dasomchae is a 'hanok (traditional Korean house)' guesthouse located in Songjeong-dong, Gwangju-si. It has 12 guestrooms whose walls are covered with healthy, natural red clay. The blankets are filled with natural cotton for a good night's sleep. There are lots of grapevines and trees in the front yard, including yew, locust, Japanese angelica, pomegranate, jujube, and apricot trees. In summer, the chimney is covered with trumpet flowers, making for a picturesque view. There is also a Korean A-frame that has actually been used for decades. Located a mere 10 minutes away by car from Songjeong Station, the guesthouse is very conveniently located for those wishing to visit various tourist destinations in the city.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Pohang-si)

About 8km past Pohang Hyeongsan Rotary and Hyeongsangyo Bridge, you will see the entrance to the town of Guryongpo-eup and a tourist map of Guryongpo beside it. In Guryongpo-eup, the Guryongpo Five-Day Market is held on the 3rd, 8th, 13th, 23rd, and 28th of every month. The Five-Day Market is held not only at the market, but also at areas around Changjucheon Stream. The market first started when a  small village was formed around Guryongpo Port. In the 1950s and 60s, when Guryongpo was incorporated into the county of Yeongil-gun, Guryongpo Market flourished because it became the main market of Yeongil-gun County. Nowadays, thanks to the rows of seafood restaurants inside, the market became even more popular among seafood lovers. The market carries a wide variety of fresh vegetables and produce, herbs, grains, and regional specialties. The seafood at the market is delivered fresh from Guryongpo Port. The squid at Guryongpo Port, which is also the specialty of the market, makes up about 70% of the total catch in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The market is also frequently visited by seafood gourmets for its squid.  


Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

You can enjoy Seolleongtang (ox bone soup) with lots of Korean beef. This restaurant's signature menu is ox none soup. This Korean dishes restaurant is located in Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do.


Jeollabuk-do(Namwon-si)

'Jirisan Hanok Village is an old traditional Korean house located at the foot of Cheongwangbong Peak and Nogodan Peak in Daejeong-ri, Namwon-si, Jeollabuk-do. Most of its guests are families visiting the area during weekends particularly in summer, because Jirisan Baemsagol Valley and Nogodan Peak are only a 20-minute ride. A Nobel Prize Candidate in Literature stayed here in 2008 to write because of the picturesque landscape. Jirisan Hanok Village is a traditional Korean house with 16 rooms with floor area of 330㎡, and many poets, writers, and businessmen come to visit here often because of the natural surroundings.


Jeollabuk-do(Buan-gun)

The Byeonsanbando Peninsula has a shoreline that stretches 99 kilometers, protruding into the west sea in Jeollabuk-do, with the Saemangeum, the world’s longest man-made sea barrier, to the north and Gomsoman Bay at its south shore. The peninsula is part of Byeonsanbando National Park, which is widely known for its natural beauty. Its interior mountain range is known as Naebyeonsan Mountain (Inner Byeonsan Mt.) while the outer region near the sea is known as Oebyeonsan Mountain (Outer Byeonsan Mt.). The center of Mt. Naebyeonsan includes the highest peak of Byeonsanbando peninsula, Uisangbong Peak (509 meters) and Nakjodae (Sunset Viewpoint), Wolmyeongam Hermitage, Bongnaegugok Valley as well as Jiksopokpo Waterfall. The surrounding mountains and valleys of Mt. Byeonsan are not particularly high, standing at an altitude of around 500-600 meters, but the magnificent formation of mountains and valleys as well as the breathtaking view of the sunset from Nakjodae make it a must-see sight. The center of Mt. Naebyeonsan is the area that includes the highest peak of Byeonsanbando peninsula, Uisangbong Peak (509 meters) and Nakjodae (Sunset Viewpoint), Wolmyeongam Hermitage, Bongnaegugok Valley as well as Jiksopokpo Waterfall. Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)

Uiamho Lake Skywalk is the largest skywalk in Korea, stretching a length of 190 meters over the waters of Uiamho Lake. Located in the midpoint of a bicycle road, the skywalk serves as a great observation deck as well as a photo spot. The round deck is built with a transparent glass floor made up of three separate panes of glass, each 1 centimeter thick.
