Gyeongsangbuk-do(Pohang-si)

The Pohang Steel Art Festival blends steel, art and cultural activities throughout Pohang's history, including the sun & the moon myth of Yeonorang and Seonyeo (연오랑과 세오녀). It also tells of POSCO's successful rewriting of history in the steel industry through its FINEX method. The festival is the country's only steel festival, and encompasses the local culture and philosophy of the Pohang area, while aiming to create an urban landscape through art.


Chungcheongnam-do(Seosan-si)

Samgilpo Port in Hwagok-ri, Daesan-eup, Chungcheongnam-do is located at the end of Daeho Seawall, which connects Hwagok-ri, Daesan-eup and Gyoro-ri, Seongmun-myeon, Dangjin-gun. The floodgate of the Daeho Seawall is also located at the site. The 7.8-km-long Daeho Seawall was completed on November 16, 1984. It is a scenic ocean drive with an expansive view of the large and small islands floating on the sea. It is also a popular sea fishing venue. In the middle of Daeho Seawall, is Dobido Island. It was developed as a recreational site equipped with accommodations, sports and recreation facilities, and a farmer’s market. It has since become a highly favored tourist destination. Around Samgilpo Port are a number of sashimi (Korean raw fish) restaurants where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood with a great view in a tranquil atmosphere. Daeho Seawall is also known as paradise for winter migratory birds, so each winter it attracts a number of birds, photographers, and birdwatchers.


Seoul(Jung-gu)

'Soo Guesthouse located in Namsan-dong, Jung-gu is a two-story house transformed into a guesthouse. The biggest advantage of staying at this guesthouse is its location, which is right in the middle of downtown Seoul. Myeong-dong, Namdaemun Market, and N Seoul Tower are all within walking distance. The 2㎞-wide, 4㎞-long Sanmagiyet-gil (literally meaning the old trail of mountain cottage in Korean) created along the lake and Goesan Dam offers fine views of the mirror-like Goesanho Lake and the beautiful lakeside scenery.The three-meter-high observatory with tempered glass on the floor presents visitors the feeling of standing on the lake surface before precipitous cliffs. There are over 30 attractive sites around the area such as a mineral spring, raspberry trail, azalea hill, and a pond. The lake is a great vacation spot as there are numerous tourist attractions in the vicinity including Songnisan National Park, Ssanggok Valley, Seonyudong Valley, and Hwayang Valley. The lake is abundant in freshwater fish, which also makes it a famous year-round fishing site.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

Jeollabuk-do(Namwon-si)

Located in Dalgung Village, Baemsa Valley, Jirisan Mountain, Jirisan Restaurant is famous for its black pork barbeque prepared with locally raised pigs. Black pork is barbequed and served with kimchi ripen over three years. Visitors can enjoy the chewy and flavorful black pork outdoors. Also, visitors can freely enjoy 17 different menus including Sanchaejungshik (full course meal with wild greens), chicken dishes made with locally raised chicken and Maeuntang (spicy soup) and purchase regional products such as Gorosoe mineral water, various kinds of wild greens, Reishi mushrooms and honey. Moreover, this restaurant was introduced on TV as a popular restaurant, so people from all over the country are visiting. In Dalgung Villge where the restaurant is located, there are a lot of accommodations and restaurants, and in the nearby Dalgung Valley, families, travelers or hikers can take a rest.


Gyeonggi-do(Ansan-si)

Daebudo Island Paper Art Museum Guesthouse is located within the Paper Art Museum of Ansan-si Gyeonggi-do. The museum displays artworks of outstanding paper artists from Korea and abroad, and is divided into Paper Sculpture Museum, Children's Museum, and Experience Center. Aside from artwork displays, Paper Art Museum also runs different experience activity programs. In the premises, a nice hanok called the Paper Art Museum Guesthouse is situated as well. The hanok, made from Gangwon pine trees and tiles baked at a temperature over 1000℃, was built using framed structure without using nails. It won the Wooden Building of the Year Award in 2014.There are two unshared buildings, Ilyeonjae and Gyowoldang, which can accommodate 8 - 15 persons. Each building is equipped with indoor toilet, kitchen facilities, air-conditioners and refrigerators. Barbecue facilities are also available when booked in advance. Charcoal and grills are provided at 20,000 won for 10 persons. Paid breakfast is served in the cafe of the Paper Art Museum. Guests may visit the museum free of charge, and participate in art experience program and traditional play experience.


Jeollanam-do(Hampyeong-gun)

This beach is located at the furthest western point of Hampyeong-eup. The tip of the area is rocky. The beach is named 'Dolmeori' meaning a rock head. Just hinterland to the beach there is a dense forest of sweet smelling pine trees and fresh water which is shallow enough for swimming. Although the difference in the landscape between high and low tide is considerable efforts have been made to make up for the shortcomings. A swimming pool has been installed over an area of 8,910 square metres, for swimming even during low tide. Also, various facilities have been installed for the user’s convenience. A long, wooden bridge has been erected for the viewing of the mud flats and sea creatures during low tide. On the mud flats there is a flurry of sea life, and the look-out sheds near the beach sell fresh summer fruits.
