Jeollabuk-do(Jeonju-si)

This hanok (traditional Korean house) hotel is located near Jeonju Hanok Village. The hotel complex stands on a plot of land spanning 19,840 m2, containing 11 residential buildings and other facilities. Modern hanok buildings are built on a line, blending with the surrounding nature to offer a comfortable stay. The name of the hotel is evident in the 11 residential buildings, all named after the kings of the Joseon Dynasty. Sunjonggwan has six rooms in total. The rooms are divided into Gold and Silver Rooms, and are classified into Grade 2, Grade 3, and Grade 5 rooms, after the grading system used for government officials during the Joseon Period. Gold Rooms are located on the second floor, while the 1st floor is occupied by the Silver Rooms. Each room is furnished with a combination of hanok’s unique charms and modern comfort. Exposed wooden beams fill the room with a gentle scent of wood, while window walls offer an expansive view of the scenery outside. Restaurants such as Samtaegeuk Restaurant, the site of the hotel’s breakfast offering, and Samjogo Restaurant, a Korean restaurant serving lunch and dinnertime, are designated as COVID-19 Safe Restaurants by the city of Jeonju. The Convention Center, which houses a hanok cafe, also offers a number of different facilities for the guests. It takes only 10 min by car to reach most tourist sites in Jeonju.

An independent unit that is separate from other guest rooms is large enough for six guests. It has a living room, a bed room, and a bathroom. Like other guest rooms, there is an indoor kitchen, but it is segregated. It was deliberately designed in this way so the smell of food does not get into the living area. Grilling must be done in the outdoor barbecue area. In front of the guest rooms, there sit a green front lawn and a garden. which create a picturesque view together with the hanok house. You can also stay with your pet through a prior consultation with the host. Nearby are Wolchulsan National Park, Dogapsa Temple in Wolchulsan Mountain, Wang In Historic Site, Wolchulsan Gichan Land, Gichanmoet-gil Trail, and Seongyang Reservoir. Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

This hanok (traditional Korean house) is located very near to Cheomseongdae Observatory. Its location in front of the Gyeongju Historic Areas allows guests to reach major sights in Gyeongju like Daereungwon Ancient Tomb Complex, Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, and Hwangnidan-gil Street by foot. This hanok symbolizes the historicity of the city of Gyeongju in that during its construction a female skeleton and accessories made out of precious metals were excavated from the site. The accommodation’s name comes from the idiom “Muwijayeon (leaving nature as it is),” combining bamboo and pine trees with green grass, show its dedication to ideals of rest and philosophy. There are five rooms in total, all ondol (under-the-floor heating system) rooms for two. Korean paper lining the walls and old-fashioned furniture speak to the ideal beauty of hanok.
