Tongin Market is the place to go for traditional gireum tteok-bokki. The market is well-known as the best place in Korea for gireum tteok-bokki, and even foreign tourists come to have a taste. Gireum tteok-bokki is made by stir-frying rice cakes in oil and seasonings. There are two types of gireum tteok-bokki sold here. One kind is seasoned with just oil and soy sauce; the other is seasoned with spicy red pepper flakes and oil. Three of Tongshin Market’s gireum tteok-bokki eateries are particularly famous and popular. One such eatery is Original Grandmother's Gireum Tteok-Bokki. The shop has been featured on TV programs. Another is Hyoja-dong’s Old School Tteok-Bokki, once visited by John Kerry in 2014 while he was the U.S. Secretary of State.

Mobum Tteok-bokki was established in 1976 and operations been handed down over 4 generations. Mobum is the originator of chadolbagi tteok-bokki (beef brisket and stir-fried rice cake).  Another unique aspect of Mobum’s tteok-bokki is that the tteok (rice cakes) are specially made and served in 30cm long lengths. Diners then cut the tteok to their desired eating size.  Mobum's representative dish is their chadolbagi tteok-bokki (beef brisket and stir-fried rice cake), but another well known menu item is their whole squid tteok-bokki. Additionally, diners can add garnishes to their tteok-bokki such as noodles, dumplings, and jumeok-bap (riceballs), and more!

Yogorino Hongdae Branch is an ice cream shop opened by Zico, who is a working Hip Hop musician, and, additionally, a member of Block B, the idol group. Yogorino is an Italian dessert brand, which mainly sells frozen yogurt, artisan ice cream, parfait etc. They also sell beverages, such as Americano coffee and other beverages, which you can buy along with the dessert. Out of 1000 store branches located in 30 different countries, the Hongdae branch Yogorino is the only Yogorino store in Korea. ​

Blanc & Eclare is a fashion/cosmetic brand, which is known for a previous member of the famed girl-group SNSD: Jessica. Jessica participated in strategizing the design of the products such as sunglasses, and also all the way to designing jeans and cosmetics.
