Located in Jung-gu, Seoul, Namsangol Hanok Village will be hosting the 'Moonlight Fire Show, Daeboreum' event on February 22, 2016 from 17:00 to 19:00. Burning daljip, cracking bureom, and other seasonal customs related to Jeongwol Daeboreom will be offered for participants to enjoy.


Seoul(Jung-gu) , Seoul City Hall・Gwanghwamun

Starting on a spring night in May at Deoksugung Palace, experience Korea's modern history through various events planned until 10 PM at cultural sites throughout the Jeong-dong area. Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market is an event organized by the city of Seoul. Visitors to the night market, happening on Fridays and Saturdays from March to October, can enjoy foods from around the world, shop for unique handmade accessories, and watch various cultural performances.


Ulsan(Ulju-gun)

Dodong Sanbang is a restaurant with five separate traditional Korean buildings situated on a large plot of land. It serves great traditional Korean set meals, and has a separate tea room where customers can enjoy a cup of tea after dining. Excluding winter, the restaurant offers a special program called “tteok mechigi” (rice cake pounding) where customers are invited to pound (or make) a rice cake with a mallet and eat it. The restaurant also includes a traditional souvenir shop and rice cake shop, and offers cultural programs.


Ulsan(Buk-gu)

Seoul(Jongno-gu)

"New Year Festival, Seol" is an event held by the National Folk Museum of Korea. Kick start this year by joining New Year Festival Seol. In celebrating the year of the monkey, the museum will present varied programs that are themed with monkeys as well as offering traditional folk experiences, Seollal cultural programs and a special exhibition. Over 30 programs will run for 5 days, offering plenty of opportunities to learn about Seollal customs and get a deeper understanding on the meaning of Seollal. Admission to the museum is free of charge and no reservation is required for most of the activites. Seollal traditions include fortune telling and wishing for good luck in the New Year. Ulsan(Ulju-gun)

Ganwolsan Mountain is a popular destination for hikers in the Ulsan and Busan area as well as other regions of Gyengsangnam-do Province. In early August, the reeds and lilies near the summit create a splendid view. To the west, the deep Naerijeong and Wangbonggol valleys channel clean water to Baenaegol Valley. From the Ganwol Gogae Ridge, follow the Singallo Path to Wanbonggol towards Paraeso Falls. There you will find a cave called Jungnimgul, which is sacred Catholic ground often visited by the Catholic faithful. The first church built by Catholics in the Yeongnam region to escape persecution is found in Buldanggol (Ganwolgol) Valley in Ganwolsan Mountain area. The tomb of Kim Agatha who died in persecution is also in the Ganwolgol Valley.


Ulsan(Nam-gu)
