Busan(Gijang-gun)

The Maritime and Fisheries Science Museum, Korea's first science institute of its kind, was established in 1997 in order to promote maritime science and technology to the Korean public. The museum was opened after six years of effort by the National Fisheries Science Institute in preparing research and materials regarding marine resources, the fishing industry, fishery and fish farm technology and equipment, taxidermied fish specimens, sea life species, and others. There are a total of 15 separate areas, and even an actual right whale skeleton on display, as well as a room where visitors can learn how to operate a marine vessel.


Busan(Dongnae-gu)

Jeongnim Hanjeongsik is a medicinal seasoning research center and medicinal food specialty restaurant. They make syrup with five grains for sweetness and vinegar with persimmon or plum for a sourn flavor. Pickled vegetables are fermented for 3 years or longer with enzymes made of native grasses.


Busan(Sasang-gu)

Bujeon Dwaejigukbap is a restaurant located in Goaebeop-dong of Busan’s Sasang-gu district that specializes in gukbap (rice soup). It first opened in 1988 and is located in the vicinity of Sasang Terminal. They also serve buckwheat noodles with orders of gukbap.


Busan(Dongnae-gu)

As a Galbi (grilled beef ribs) specialty restaurant with over 40 years of tradition, Masangalbi serves only the highest grade Korean beef.


Busan(Haeundae-gu) , Haeundae

Having been operated for over 20 years, Masan Genakjjim serves a traditional blue crab dish (kkotge). The restaurant uses fresh ingredients such as blue crab directly delivered from Yeonpyeongdo Island, long-legged octopus from the dawn market, chili from Yeongyang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and garlic from Uiseong to make their dish tasty. The flavor of the meat stock is deep and light thanks to the natural ingredients such as kelp, anchovies, button mushrooms, and spring onions that are used instead of artificial seasonings. Adding more flavor to the dish are chemical-free bean sprouts and freshly cooked-rice. Ganjang-gejang (soy sauce marinated crab) is available for delivery on orders of three crabs or more.


Busan(Suyeong-gu)

Millennium Hoetjip, located in front of Gwangalli Waterfront Park, has a great view of the area of Gwangandaegyo Bridge and Gwangalli Beach. They offers fresh raw fish caught from the sea at early dawn to serve a great taste to their customers.


Busan(Haeundae-gu)

The secret to making their dish tasty is their excellent hanu (Korean beef) which is aged at 3 degrees below zero and delivered from nearby farms. Adding more taste to it is doenjang-guk (soybean paste soup) made with conventional soybean paste and other fermentated seafood, traditional side dishes, vegetables, and more served after eating beef, something that is uncommon to see at other restaurants.


Busan(Busanjin-gu)

Sutbul Galbi Imjingak is specialized in charcoal grilled meat, such as saenggalbi (marinated Korean beef ribs), saeng cheongyeopsal (also, hangjeongsal; pork neck), saengsamgyeopsal (Korean pork belly) and dwaeji galbi (pork ribs). Opened in 1995, the restaurant is comprised of 15 various sized rooms throughout the first and second floors that can accommodate up to 230 seats. Seating is arranged in private booth-style rooms. Some popular dishes are Korean pork neck and pork belly. They also offer a lunch menu with things like kimchi-jjigae, doenjang-jjigae, sogogi-gukbap, and more. Individual special menus are available to order for customers in groups.
