Nurimaru APEC House

The name Nurimaru APEC House is created by combining the Korean words nuri (“world”) and maru (“summit”), and “APEC House,” which refers to an APEC conference hall. Collectively, it means “a house where the world summits gather together for an APEC meeting.”Located on Dongbaekseom Island, which is noted for its beautiful, natural landscape accented by dense camellia and pine trees, Nurimaru APEC House has been used as a memorial hall and a prestigious international conference hall since the APEC summit meeting. Nurimaru, a 3-story building, is a modernistic expression of “jeongja,” a pavilion in traditional Korean architectural style. Its roof shape symbolizes the ridgeline of Dongbaekseom Island. Its interior design is a visual display of Korea’s creative traditional culture.The terrace, which has a Korean wooden floor concept, towers over Oryukdo Island, Gwangan Bridge and Dallmaji Hill. However, one particular program that is only found at the Jeju branch is "Haenyeo's Achim," which directly translates into 'the diving women's morning' in English. In this program, visitors are able to witness how Jeju haenyeo (female divers) catch various shellfish, seaweeds and more items underwater.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum

Ripley’s "Believe It or Not!" Museum (originally created by Robert Ripley) is the largest museum franchise business in the world, with 31 locations worldwide. The new branch on Jeju Island (near the entrance of Jungmun Resort, Seogwipo-si) is the 32nd location and 11th country for the chain. The Jeju branch of the museum consists of 12 galleries, an outdoor park, souvenir shop, and a coffee house. The museum will feature as many as 700 astounding, one-of-a-kind items collected by explorer Robert Ripley (1893∼1949), during his travels of over 35 years to 198 different countries. Visitors to the museum will be awed by a large selection of hard-to-believe pieces including part of the Berlin Wall from 1989, meteorites from Mars, and a life-size model of man that's part Unicorn. All the items on display come complete with anecdotes and historical explanations, which present an amusing alternative to traditional museums.

Shilla Millennium Park

Incheon Namdong Gymnasium

Constructed for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, this venue is the largest of all the sports facilities built specifically for the event. Located at 500 Soraero, Namdong-gu, Incheon, it was completed on September 27, 2013. The stadium covers an area of 42,357㎡ and has a seating capacity of 8,828. During the Asian Games, it hosted gymnastics competitions where Son Yeon-jae clinched a gold medal in the individual all-around category. The primary facilities include a main sports floor and an auxiliary sports floor. The venue has been more than just a sports facility; it was the live broadcast location for K-pop Star 4 and K-pop Star 5.
