Seoul(Seodaemun-gu)

Located near the back gate of Ewha Womans University, Sokran (석란) is a Korean restaurant with 20 years of history. Originally a small restaurant, Sokran has continued to expand over the years and can now seat up to 170 guests. The restaurant has been privileged to be featured in numerous books (both at home and abroad) as one of Korea’s most representative restaurants.Popular menu items include the Royal Table d’Hote and the Sokran Table d’Hote. Another crowd favorite is the Gaeseong Joraengi Rice Cake Soup that has long, white rice cakes that look like caterpillars and are shaped using a wooden knife.

Chungcheongnam-do(Buyeo-gun)

First established in 1929, the Buyeo National Museum was reopened in August 1993 at the current location. The museum has 4 exhibition halls and an outdoor exhibit with a total of about 1,000 relics on display.The Prehistoric Hall presents representative relics from the Bronze Age and the Iron Age found in Buyeo and the nearby Chungcheongnam-do area. In the History Hall, most of the exhibited relics are the remains of the Sabi Era of Baekje. The Sabi Era (538-660) was when the culture and art of the Baekje Kingdom was at its most prosperous. Buddhist statues that are well-known for ‘the smile of Baekje’ welcome you with happy faces in the Buddhist Art Hall. Numerous stone remains such as Buddha statues and stone pagodas can be found at the outdoor exhibition area.National Treasures such as the Gilt-bronze Incense Burner of Baekje (National Treasure No. 287), and the Stone Basin of Buyeo (Treasure No. 194) are also on display. Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , TheWestern Part of the Jeju Island

Teseum Safari is a teddy bear museum located in the Aewol-eup region of Jeju Island. It is one of the first museums in the world to exhibit all sorts of teddy bears and stitched dolls including ones shaped like wildlife animals, marine animals, flowers, birds, and more. The museum is spread over two large floors and features teddy bears arranged in adorable poses. Highlights of the museum include teddy bears shaped liked tigers, elephants, sharks, dolphins and even teddy bears based on characters from Greek mythology. Visitors can take photos with the teddy bears and famous tourist attractions such as ‘Psyche World’ are located nearby.  


Seoul(Yongsan-gu) , Euljiro・Chungmuro・Namsan

Opening its doors in 1922, Namsan Library has enjoyed a long prosperous history. Located in the heart of Seoul, many people visit to search for research materials or to study. The numerous dictionaries or statistics and other reference sources make it the representative library of Korea.Comprised of five levels, the library can accommodate a variety of needs. The first floor is made up of the supervisor's office, exhibit hall, restaurant and snack bar. On the second floor, one can find the Periodical Room, the electronic information room and the audiovisual study room. The lounge and smoking room are also on the second floor. The language room and the reading room are on the third floor. The corner displaying domestic and foreign schoolbooks is especially eye catching. Both the Sociology Study Room and the reading room are on the fourth and fifth floors respectively.If you visit Namsan Library, try to visit the other tourist sites nearby. There are plenty of places see. One such attraction is Namsangol Hanok Village where you can see traditional Korean houses and the traditional lifestyles of the past. Also nearby is Namdaemun Market, the patriot An Jung-Geun Memorial, the National Theater of Korea and the Botanical Gardens. Luxury hotels such as the Hilton Hotel and Shilla Hotel are within walking distance, so tourists staying overnight should keep that in mind.

Following the official designation, a sculpture park housing 59 sculptures was established in the area. Thirty of the works of art were crafted by sculptors residing in Gudeurae who are known for skills that have been handed down from artists dating back to the Baekje Period. The other 29 pieces are from Korean and overseas artists who participated in the International Modern Sculpture Symposium in 1999. The sculptures bring about a sense of beauty that reflects the region’s history as well as modern art, making the park a popular tourist site and retreat for residents. A monument built in memory of a well-known folk song describing the beauty of Gudeurae is also located in the region.

Daegu(Dalseo-gu)

Opened on September 29, 2000, the Daegu Kolon Open Air Music Hall is Korea’s largest single music hall. Due to its convenient location in picturesque Duryu Park, the music hall is a popular venue for performing arts and cultural events. Its expansive open-air grassy plaza has a capacity of 27,000 people.The music hall is available for rent and can accommodate any type of performance: concerts, plays, musicals, opera, and more.


Daegu(Nam-gu)

Nakdonggang River is a winding river that is filled with a great strength to protect the people, providing the wisdom and deep meaning for the country's reunification. Thanks to its geographical advantage, it provided a good distance of ceasefire line between Korean soldiers against its enemies during 6.25 Korean War, helping defeating moreover reducing the casualties. The Nakdong Victory Memorial Hall was built in memory of the victory at the Nakdonggang defense line which was the last fortification to protect the country during the Korean War. The memorial hall was built with private donations from the residents of the Daegu and Gyeongbuk province. In particular, postwar generations, especially the young generation people who did not experience the 6.25 Korean War, can learn the great piece of history from here. Opening Day: June 25, 1979
