Gangwon-do(Pyeongchang-gun)

Odaesan National Park was designated as a national park in 1975. Its name was derived from the the following 5 plateaus: Manwoldae, Jangryeondae, Girindae, Sangsamdae and Jigongdae. Featuring the 1,563m high Birobong Peak, Odaesan spreads southwest with Mt. Sodaesan, Horyeongbong Peak and Mt. Sogyebangsan. The east side is connected with Sangwangbong Peak and Durobong Peak, which are over 1,000m high.The representative temple of Odaesan, Woljeongsa Temple, was named after the bright, full moon that rises above Manwoldae (Mt. Dongdaesan). At this temple the famous Octagon shaped 9-story pagoda (National Treasure No.48) and the Stone Seated Buddha Figure (Treasure No.139) is preserved. Also, Jeokmyeolbogung of Woljeongsa is where Monk Ja Jang preserved the Sakyamuni's noble relics. Inside Woljeongsa Temple, follow the fir trees 5 km east, and you will reach Sagoji where Yeonggamsa Temple stands.Odaesan has the largest natural woods of Korea. Many wild animals and plants are known to exist here. The area of Birobong Peak is famous for its Nuncheunkbaek and Yew tree forests. The royal azelea and Geumgang Chorong from Durobong Peak to Sangwangbong Peak are famous and there are animals such as boars, musk deer, turtledoves and colorful woodpeckers living here.


Daejeon(Yuseong-gu)

The park has various attractions including a grass plaza, bird garden, wildflower park, sculpture park, youth facilities, and 8.45 meter-high statue of Admiral Lee Sun-shin. The ecological park at the tourist park entrance is home to a variety of plants such as pine trees and azalea flowers, while the sculpture park attracts visitors in the winter with a large ice sculpture 8 meters wide and 3 meters high. Sinjeongho Lake, located in front of the tourist park, is a popular fishing spot throughout the year and visitors can enjoy a leisurely ride on motor boats or pleasure boats.


Busan(Gangseo-gu)

Chungcheongbuk-do(Danyang-gun)

The Ondal Open Film Set has been the scene of many popular Korean dramas, including Cheonchutaehu (천추태후), Taewangsasingi (태왕사신기), Kingdom of the Wind (바람의나라), Iljimae (일지매), and Yeongaesomun (연개소문). The set is located within the Ondal tourist site in Yeongchun-myeon, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. In addition to the famous sets themselves, clothes and props used during filming are on exhibit, and models of the drama’s protagonists are available for photos. Visitors are also pleased to experience the many other attractions in the area, including Ondal Cave, a theme park, Ondalsanseong Fortress, Ondalgwan museum, and well-known regional cuisine.
