Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)

The Chuncheon International Mime Festival presents a wide array of performances by hundreds of performing arts teams from Korea and abroad. Chuncheon is easily accessible by public transportation, and also offers easy access to other popular tourist attractions like Namiseom Island and Soyangang Dam.


Chungcheongnam-do(Asan-si)

Sinjeongho Tourist Park was created in 1993 on land spanning 272,000 square meters in the Bangchuk-dong area of Asan City. The park has various attractions including a grass plaza, bird garden, wildflower park, sculpture park, youth facilities, and 8.45 meter-high statue of Admiral Lee Sun-shin. The ecological park at the tourist park entrance is home to a variety of plants such as pine trees and azalea flowers, while the sculpture park attracts visitors in the winter with a large ice sculpture 8 meters wide and 3 meters high. Sinjeongho Lake, located in front of the tourist park, is a popular fishing spot throughout the year and visitors can enjoy a leisurely ride on motor boats or pleasure boats.


Jeollanam-do(Muan-gun)

Located in Piseo-ri, Mangun-myeon in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do Province, Muan International Airport serves as a transportation hub for both domestic flights and as an alternative hub for international flights in and out of Gwangju Airport. Construction of Muan Airport started in 1999; the airport opened for business in November 2007. Nearby the airport are a series of beautiful coastlines spanning a distance of approximately 220 kilometers. Officials hope that the airport will continue to become a key transportation hub of the southwest as the area’s international leisure and tourism industry develop through the promotion of the F1 Grand Prix, the construction of Muan Business City, and the designation of the Free Trade Zone.


Busan(Jung-gu)

Busan Democracy Park was created to commemorate and continue the spirit of Busan residents who significantly devoted their lives to develop Korean modern history through the 4.19 Revolution, Buma (Busan and Masan) Democratic Movement and June Democratic Movement. The Middle-scale Theater is used to hold international conference, academic event, various lectures, recitals for singing, play, theater, and dance and Small-scale Theater is used for small-sized conference, lecture and movie theaters. Plays and music concerts usually take places at the Outdoor performance hall and a wedding ceremony is held in the hall over the weekends and holidays. A botanical garden that houses about 400 species of trees and Ilju Path has themed-resting areas along the trail. Nearby attractions are the main library, Democracy Hall, memorial sculptures and other auxiliary facilities.


Seoul(Gangseo-gu) , The Western Part of the Seoul

Hyanggyo refers to the educational institutions of the Joseon Dynasty. Much like the national junior and high schools of today, a hyanggyo is where the children of local officials were educated and where ritual services were held in memory of Confucius. The Yangcheon Hyanggyo Confucian School is the only such school in Seoul. Built in the 12th year of King Taejong of Joseon (1411), the school was entirely renovated in 1981. There are eight buildings in the premise, including the Daeseongjeon, Myeongryundang, Jeonsacheong, Dongjae, Seojae, Naesammun, and Waesammun. Today, a national ritual service for Confucius is held here twice a year: one in the spring and one in the fall. Also, various programs are offered to teach Chinese characters, calligraphy, or Oriental painting to regular citizens, as well as elementary, junior, and high school students. The celebration begins with opening ceremony performed by DJ DOC, Hong, Jin-young, a cappella group D.I.A, Songpa Philharmonic Orchestra and Songpa Boys and Girls Choir at a special performance stage. Spectacular fireworks display of 30,000 fireworks will embroider the night sky for 11 minutes starting from 21:00. Lotte World Tower will mesmerize visitors with fireworks that light up the night sky in accordance to eight different background music of diverse genre such as jazz and pop, along with the fascinating musical fireworks display at Seokchonhosu Lake.
