Dolsandaegyo Bridge
Jeollanam-do(Yeosu-si)

At 450m long and 11.7m wide, Dolsandaegyo Bridge is the largest cable-stayed bridge in Korea. Since its construction in 1984, the bridge, which connects Yeosu and Dolsan-do Island, has brought commerce and tourism to the island. Today, the bridge itself has become a popular tourist destination, illuminated at night by exterior lighting from the marine park across from the island. On the Yeosu side of the bridge is an octagonal pavilion observatory overlooking the picturesque Yeosu Harbor, while on the other side is Dolsan-eup known as the raw fish town. Underneath the bridge on the Dolsan-eup side is a cruise ship dock, where visitors will find a replica of the noble Geobokseon (turtle-shaped ship), and may ride a cruise ship to Odongdo Island or Hyangilam Temple on the edge of Dolsan-do Island.

Biseulsan Recreational Forest

Daegu-si Dalseong-gun’s Biseulsan Recreational Forest (비슬산자연휴양림), famous for its beautiful natural scene, is located at the base of Biseulsan Mountain. Jukdo Island

Jukdo was once an island across from Woljeon-ri in Nampo-myeon, but after an embankment was constructed to reclaim land around Nampo, Jukdo became connected to the mainland. This unpopulated fishing island is also called Daeseom (Bamboo Island) for its dense groves of bamboo trees. The waters in front of the island are clean and full of fish, drawing a large number of visitors for sea fishing.The 3.7 kilometer-long Nampo embankment has become a new attraction in Boryeong. The embankment road is a nice driving course along the sea and fields. It is also a great walking road and in the middle of the embankment stands an octagonal pavilion where visitors can rest amidst the tranquil scenery. Up on the embankment, one can get a great view of the open sea and the expansive Nampo field. There are many accommodation facilities and restaurants near Daecheon Beach. There are also some nice restaurants in the direction of Muchangpo at Woljeon-ri. Nearby tourist attractions include the Choi Chi-won relics and Yongdu Beach.

FKCCI Bastille Day event is one of the chamber’s biggest annual events. Bastille Day is the name given in English-speaking countries to the French National Day, which is celebrated on the 14th of July every year. In France, it is formally called La Fête Nationale (The National Celebration) and commonly le Quatorze Juillet. This cultural event represents the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille fortress-prison, which is seen as a symbol of the end of the constitutional monarchy that preceded the First Republic during the French Revolution. Festivities in France begin with a big parade held on the morning of July 14th on the Champs-Élysées avenue in Paris, which is attended by the president of france and broadcast on television. Other programs include a VIP garden party at the Elysée and the final bouquet of fireworks all around the Eiffel Tower. In celebration of this national holiday, the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Embassy of France in Korea organize an annual party. The result is a festival of over 500 people celebrating Bastille Day in a joyful and vibrant atmosphere. It is a day for people of all ages to come and enjoy France and French culture in Korea. At the Tea Promotional and Experience Center visitors can enjoy such hands-on programs like making tea in a traditional hand-made way and learning the traditional tea etiquette of the region, a pottery class where you can make your own pottery in a traditional way, and a tea market where you can purchase a variety of high-quality tea produced in the region.
