Gangwon-do(Pyeongchang-gun)

Gyeongsangbuk-do(Uiseong-gun)

Sansuyu Village is the venue for the Uiseong Sansuyu Festival in Uiseong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Every March, the village is gilded with the bright yellow of tens of thousands of sansuyu flowers. Visitors are sure to enjoy a joyful view of the sansuyu flowers both day and night, thanks to the street lights illuminating the beautiful yellow flowers.


Seoul(Gangdong-gu)

The sandbanks, willow trees, and lush forest that can be found at Godeok Riverside Ecological Park are some things that people won't usually find in today's urban ecosystem. Located in the upper region of the Hangang River and next to the Godeok-dong Eco-scape Preservation Area, the park functions as a space for nature and wetland ecology exploration.Godeok Riverside Ecological Park was established as part of the Hangang River Renaissance Project, a comprehensive project that aims to transform the riverside areas into recreational spaces.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Cheongju-si)

The Cheongnamdae (청남대) is a presidential vacation villa located near Daecheong Dam (대청댐) in Cheongwon-gu, Chungcheongbuk-do. The former president Chun Doo-hwan was greatly impressed by the scenic surroundings while attending the ceremony for the completion of Daecheong Dam in 1980. The construction of Cheongnamdae started in June, 1983 and was completed in six months (December). Cheongnamdae, built on a 560,000 pyeong-wide area, means ‘Cheongwadae in a warm southern land’ in Korean. South Korean presidents would stay in this remote vacation villa 4-5 times (or sometimes 7-8 times) a year during summer vacation or national holidays. In total, Korean presidents have stayed here nearly 400 days over 88 visits in two decades.There were four presidential villas including the one in Gimhae in the past. During Kim Young-sam’s administration, however, all but Cheongnamdae were closed. Cheongnamdae, which had been closed to the public for twenty years, was finally opened to the public on April 18, 2003 by former president Roh Moo-hyun. Visitors can view a music fountain inside the ecological wetland garden (990㎡), hike a 3.3km mountain trail and visit the Hoban Promenade (8km), or simply take a pleasant walk along a beautiful trail, and enjoy the scenic landscape of Daecheongho Lake.* Geographical Location Cheongnamdae is located in Munui-myeon, Cheongwon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Jeollanam-do(Yeosu-si)

Dolsan Park, located across from Dolsan Bridge, was created in 1987 on land spanning over 287,000 square meters. A teahouse inside the park was originally a TV drama shooting set. The teahouse offers a fine view of Dolsan Bridge, so visitors often stop by to drink tea while enjoying the view. The view point at the park also overlooks magnificent sunsets over Dolsan Bridge and exquisite night views of Dolsan Bridge, Marine Park, and Janggundo Island. The Memorial Time Capsule, containing various materials related to the merger of Yeosu city, was buried at the center of park in 1994 and will be opened in 2094.


Jeollanam-do(Suncheon-si)

Heungryunsa Temple is a Buddhist center of the Jogyejong Order. Located in Jukdobong Park (downtown Suncheon), Heungryunsa Temple is a shrine of the god Sakyamuni (the main statue of Buddha). The site was previously used as an archery range. * History Heungryunsa Temple is a branch of Hwaeonsa Temple, which is the 19th local temple of the Jogyejong Order. It is said that Heungryunsa Temple was constructed during the reign of King Seonjo of the Joseon Dynasty and that the site was used as a place where naval forces practiced archery during the Japanese invasion in 1592. At the same time, the temple was the first military base of monk-turned-military officers from Hwaeomsa, Songgwangsa, and Seonamsa Temples. The current building was re-constructed in 1986 by Monk Jongwon, who is still the chief abbot of the temple.  


Jeollabuk-do(Namwon-si)

Located on Jirisan Mountain, the Jirisan National Park was Korea's first designated national park. The Jirisan mountain range extends across five cities in three provinces: Gurye-gun in Jeollanam-do; Namwon-si in Jeollabuk-do; Hadong-gun, Sancheong-gun and Hamyang-gun in Gyeongsangnam-do.Jirisan Mountain has over 10 peaks including Nogodan (1,507m), Banyabong (1,732m), Jeseokbong (1,806m) and Cheonwangbong (1,915m), several valleys including Baemsagol and Chilseon, and waterfalls including Guryong, Buril, Yongchu and Chilseon Falls. The park is also home to such cultural assets as Hwaeomsa, Ssanggyesa and Daewonsa Temples.
