Jikjisa Temple
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gimcheon-si)

Jikjisa Temple (직지사), located at the foot of Mt. Hwangaksan in Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do, was constructed in 418 (the 2nd year of King Nulji’s reign, Silla Kingdom). This temple is in perfect harmony with the nearby valley and pine forest. The foliage in fall is particularly breathtaking. It features Birojeon Hall (also known as ‘Cheonbuljeon Hall’), in which approximately 1,000 Buddha statues are enshrined, along with a thousand year old arrowroot. Iljumun Gate, Daeungjeon Hall (one of the most famous architectural structures of the Joseon Dynasty) and a 1.63m-tall Seated Stone Buddhist Statue (Treasures No. 319) from the Unified Silla Period, can also be found on the temple grounds.* Hwangaksan MountainMt. Hwangaksan (1,111m in elevation), located in the Sobaeksan Mountains, should be called ‘Hwanghaksan’ because of the many cranes that reside on this mountain. However, it is written as ‘Hwangaksan’ on the Jikjisa Temple tablet and in the Taengniji Records (택리지). This mountain is famous for its thick pine forests, pristine streams, beautiful fall foliage and splendid snowscapes.

Every year, the Korean traditional music festival named after Park’s pen name, Nangye, is held in the area. In addition to featuring various exhibitions and experience programs centered on Korean traditional music, the Yeongdong Nangye Traditional Music Festival offers cultural arts and foods in conjunction with the Yeongdong Wine Festival. Visitors can enjoy various program including royal ancestral rites, parade, contest for reciting a sijo, and other hands-on program through traditional music.

Hyangho Beach
Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

Hyangho Beach is located in Jumunjin, Gangneung. It is a beach attraction where the boy band BTS filmed their album photo at a bus stop. Although the bus stop in the photo is not an actual bus stop, the booth remains at the beach as a photo zone. Other photo zones are also scattered around the beach, drawing many visitors who seek to take memorable photos with the open beach in the background.

The POSCO Museum

The POSCO Museum, built on July 3, 2003 in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do shows the history, spirit, corporate culture and vision of POSCO. This 3-story, 1,100 pyeong building rests on a 3,000 pyeong site, while the exhibition area is 600 pyeong in area. In advanced countries, it is not uncommon for a private company to open a museum, however, it is a rarity in the Korean experience. Therefore, the POSCO Museum has come into the spotlight from the onset of master planning. Jecheon International Film & Music Festival

As the first festival in Korea to celebrate films with the theme of music, Jecheon International Music & Film Festival (JIMFF) aims to expand the new film genre and contribute to diversification of film festivals.
