The city of Osan-si is located in the southwestern area of Gyeonggi-do, bordering Hwaseongsi to the east, west, and north, and Pyeongtaek-si to the south. The entire area covers an area of 42.76 ㎢, with a population of about 208,600 (as of January 2015), and is divided into six areas called dongs. The county office is situated in Osan-dong. * Nature It is nestled at the end of the Gwangjusanmaek Mountain Range, which originates in the Taebaeksanmaek Mountain Range. Other large hills, all of which are under 200 meters above sea level, are scattered throughout the area, such as Yangsanbong Peak, Yeogyesan Mountain, and Nojeokbong Peak. Osancheon Stream and Hwanggujicheon Stream flow from the east and west into Asanho Lake, respectively. * Culture Folk: Osan-si holds the Yutnori (Korean board game) Contest taken place at the Osan Ssalsijang Gwangjang (plaza) from January 8 to 14 on the Lunar Calendar. Only residents of Osan-si may compete. Dongje (ancestral ritual): Sansinje (religious ritual for the mountain spirit) is held in Naesammi-dong on September 30 at around 9:00 at Pilbong Peak.

Here, Sindu-ri is a good place for a family with children to visit in summer as the beach is gentle. The water is as clean as coral in the spring and fall, and especially in winter, you can see rough wave due to fierce northwind from China. Resort buildings are divided into total 4 complexes, and each building has various kinds of room that can accep from two persons to maximum 35 persons. There is BBQ facility in the yard between the resort building and the sea, and so you can have exotic BBQ party with the sound of the sea and wave. It is an appropriate place for corporate workshop and other gatherings as it has seminar room and sports facilities such as foot volleyball court and basketball court.

Ganjeolgot Sunrise Festival

Ganjeolgot Cape in Ulsan offers visitors impressive views of the sunrise and is part of the New Year’s Sunrise Festival every December. The festival starts at sunset on the 31st with cultural events followed by a year-end concert. In addition, fireworks displays, enjoying tteokguk (traditional Korean new years dish) and a wide range of performances fill the evening and last through the night. Visitors may also enjoy the “Starlight Observatory” and a 3-D production about Ganjeolgot Cape and the Ulsan area.

Chujado Island
Jeju-do(Jeju-si)

Chujado Island is a group of four inhabited islands, called Sangchujado, Hachujado, Chupodo, and Hoenggando as well as 38 uninhabited islands. The majestic peaks of these islands makes Chujado look as if it were the top of a mountain. The dazzling array of islands is home to rich habitats of fish from yellow corvinas to hairtails, Japanese Spanish mackerels, snappers, bass, and horn fish, andd as such, it is a popular place for sea fishing. The main natural and cultural attractions include the habitat for black wood pigeons and streaked shearwaters (Natural Monument No.333), General Choi Yeong Shrine, and Chuja Cheosa House. Jeju City opened Chujado Olle Trail (or Jeju Olle Trail 18-1) in June 2010. Stretching over 17.7km, the trail begins at Chuja-myeon Office and connects peaks in Sangchujado (the largest island in Chujado) and Hachujado. Because of the numerous peaks, the trail is more of a hiking trail than a simple walking path and is easily one of the most demanding trails on Jeju Island.
