Jeollanam-do(Sinan-gun)

Ujeon Beach stretches 4 km in length on the southwestern coast of the island of Jeungdo-myeon, the biggest natural salt producer in Korea. The silvery white sand as well as the view of the sealine dotted with over 90 deserted islands make Ujeon Beach one of the most attractive seaside destinations. Visitors to Jeungdo Island can explore the sites of salt production and Haetae (a type of seaweed) farming, or go fising at nearby islands, including Naegaldo and Oegaldo Island, Myeongdeokseom Island, Daeseom Island, Bunamdo Island and Myeongseom Island.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Miryang-si)

Located on Mt. Adongsan next to Namcheongang River in Miryang, Yeongnamnu (National Treasure No. 147) is one of three great pavilions of Korea together with Chokseoknu Pavilion of Jinju and Bubyeoknu Pavillion of Pyeongyang.A two-story-pavilion with a hip-and-gable roof was constructed on this same site during the Silla period, as part of Yeongnamsa Temple, which was one of the five great temples at that time. The pavilion was torn down and re-constructed during the rule of King Gongmin of the Goryeo Dynasty. The current structure was built in 1884 according to the design of the then-magistrate Yi In-jae.The pavilion area consists of Neungpagak, Chimryugak, Sajumum Gate, Iljumun Gate and Cheonjingung. Stone-carved calligraphy from the Joseon Period abounds in the pavilion complex, drawing many visitors.


Jeollanam-do(Wando-gun)

Seaweed is a living organism that is symbolic of the clean water zone in the depths of the sea, and is also one of the origins of marine organisms. Wando Seaweeds Expo includes a range of displays of marine algae, discussions over environmental concerns such as climate change and global warming, and prospects for “green growth” through seaweed. The expo shows the importance of seaweed as a food resource, and aims to bolster the domestic seaweed industry. The expo also aims to make Korea a leading nation in the seaweed industry through an active response to the growing demand for Korean seaweed. A range of activities have been arranged for visitors to the festival, held in the Wando Port district, which include an exhibition, hands-on programs, an international forum, conference, and other events. It is the first expo to be centered on the theme of a variety of seaweed including dried and sea mustard. The seaweed expo will be a venue for the exchange of seaweed-related information and technology for participants representing 60 corporations in 20 countries around the world.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geoje-si)

Deokpo Beach is a white sandy beach in the city of Geoje in Gyeongsangnam-do. The 450m-long and 40m-wide beach offers fine sand, clear waters, a gentle slope and old sea pine trees along the coast. The sound of the waves hitting the small pebbles, give a romantic atmosphere, especially at night. Nearby attractions include the Okpo Great Victory Commemorative Park, which was built in 1996 to commemorate the victory of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, and the Okpo Shipyard of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering with a giant shipyard crane.


Seoul(Nowon-gu)

This galbi restaurant is located in Taereung where the popular dish, Taereung Pork Galbi originated. The restaurant is equipped with their original charcoal roasters that release less smoke and smell when grilling pork or beef galbi at the table.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Sangju-si)

Sangju Museum was established to highlight the history of Sangju, and systematically preserve and manage the city's cultural heritage. It features several exhibitions inside the building, and Naksangdong Stone Tower, stone lanterns and other stone relics outside.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Chungju-si)

The Sangnok Hotel is a first class (four-star) hotel located in Suanbo, an area known for its hotsprings and natural landscape. Gangwon-do(Yangyang-gun)

Gyeongsangbuk-do(Seongju-gun)

Gayasan Mountain (가야산) in Gyeongsangbuk-do was designated as a national park in 1972. Chilbulbong Peak towers at 1,433 meters. It borders Seongju-gun, Hapcheon-gun and Geochang-gun. In particular, Suryun-myeon, Seongju-gun is famous for its scenic nature. Furthermore, the beautiful Gayasan Drive, which extends from Suryun-myeon to Gayasan Mountain, highlights the splendor and grandeur of the precipitous crimson cliffs. The drive also offers the humble beauty of the rolling mountain, while the beautiful trails along the valley and nearby waterfall are fascinating as well. In Baegundong area, you will encounter Beopjusa Temple. This temple was built during the Silla period and is said to have been a huge temple consisting of approximately 100 chambers. Now, only a stupa, cornerstones, and flagpole supports remain. Yonggigol Valley offers a scenic mountain trail along which you can enjoy the stunning beauty of Gayasan Mountain.  


Chungcheongnam-do(Nonsan-si)

Ganggyeong Salted Seafood Festival is known for its freshest and finest quality, which is made with recipes handed down from from generation to generation, retaining the unique, authentic taste of salted fermented fish.All the ingredients are imported directly and prepared in modern facilities. Today, the market accounts for half of the nation’s total sales of salted seafood.The Ganggyeong Festival has grown to become a major industrial festival in Korea, and originally started off in an effort to boost local economy and enhance the fish market merchants’ incomes in 1997 when the IMF financial crisis hit the nation. Salted fish merchants made the festival in a large-scale, getting bigger and better each year.Especially since 2007, the festival has changed its official title to Ganggyeong Fermented Seafood Festival. The festival has in the spotlight and has now established itself as a healthy fermented food item in the world food market, breaking away from the notion of being simply salted, preserved food.
