Gyeongsangnam-do(Goseong-gun)

Goseong Dinosaur Museum (고성 공룡박물관), located in Sangjogam (상족암) County Park, is Korea’s first dinosaur museum. It was built next to one of the world’s largest dinosaur footprint fossil sites and opened to the public on 9 November 2004. Located in the center of the beautiful Sangjogam area, the museum is a tourist attraction that showcases both major dinosaur footprints as well as breathtaking scenery. The four-story building offers five exhibition halls and other special-purpose rooms such as an A/V room.


Chungcheongnam-do(Asan-si)

Dogo oncheon Station opened in June 15, 1922 as Seonjang Station and was relocated to its current location in 2007.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Danyang-gun)

Gudambong Peak and Oksunbong Peak (alt. 372m) are widely known as two of the “Eight Scenic Views of Danyang." Gudanmbong Peak (lit. Turtle Pond Peak) gets its name from the reflection of its rugged cliffs on the lake below, which is said to look like a turtle. Oksunbong Peak (lit. Jade Shoot Peak), well known for its magnificent scenery, was so named because its white and mossy rocks stand high like fresh bamboo shoots. The old historic book Yeojiseungnam (Geographical Survey of Korea) describes how Kim Il-son, a civil officer in the Joseon Dynasty, greatly extolled the beauty of its marvelous ravines. Both Gudambong Peak and Oksunbong Peak offer spectacular views of Chungjuho Lake and Geumsusan Mountain.


Gyeonggi-do(Suwon-si)

During the festival, visitors can sample a variety of fresh shrimp as well as crab, gizzard shads (Herring), abalone, and clams at reasonable prices. The festival also offers a list of exciting programs such as celebrity guest performances, a fireworks show, singing contest, shrimp-peeling contest, and shrimp-catching contest. Shrimp and prawns in the Taean area are known for their succulent taste. They can grow in size to 20cm and are best enjoyed during the fall. Anmyeondo Beach is also home to many by popular year-round attractions including Kkotji, Sambong, and Anmyeondo Natural Recreation Forest.


Gyeonggi-do(Gwangju-si)

Gwangju Royal Ceramic Festival is held annually in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do where royal ceramic was first created during Joseon Dynasty. Since the start of the festival in 1998, the festival is comprised of various programs such as performances, exhibitions, and hands-on activities. With a performance-centered opening ceremony, it is expected to boost the ambience with varied performances, traditional music, dance and living statue.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Hadong-gun)

Hadong is famous for being the first tea plantation site in Korea. Unlike other tea production sites, which typically use machines for processing, Hadong continues to produce tea using time-honored traditional methods. As a result, it produces particularly high-grade teas, which are often sold at high prices.During the festival, visitors can sample a variety of Hadong’s tea for free and purchase their favorites at bargain prices. The festival offers visitors a unique and entertaining combination of events and hands-on experiences, drawing a large number of visitors every year.

Busan(Gijang-gun)

Chungcheongnam-do(Yesan-gun)

Chusa Gotaek is the traditional Korean house of the renowned scholar and calligrapher, Chusa (also known as Kim Jeong-Hui). This old house is known to have been constructed by the great-grandfather of Chusa, Kim Han-Sin.The Korean-style house compound (266.11m²) consists of Munganchae (a guesthouse), Soteuldaemun (a high gate), Sarangchae (ㄱ-shaped men's quarters), Anchae (ㅁ-shaped women’s quarters) and a shrine where the remains of Chusa are enshrined. Theㄱ-shaped Sarangchae stretches for one Kan* to the south and 2 Kans to the east and is comprised of two rooms and a Daecheongmaru (living area). The Anchae consists of a six-Kan Daecheongmaru (living area) and two one-Kan rooms.Located on the ground is a tomb where Chusa’s great-grandfather (Kim Han-Sin) and his wife (Hwasun Princess) are buried. Nearby you’ll see a gate that was constructed to commemorate Princess Hwasun’s faithfulness to her husband.If you walk about 600 meters to the north of the old house, you can see a lacebark pine tree, which was designated Natural Monument No. 106. The lacebark pine tree, originally from northern China, is among the few of its kind in Korea. It is said that Chusa snuck the pine across the border from China (formerly, the Qing Dynasty) into the country when he was 25 years old and planted it at the tomb of his great-grandfather. Originally, the tree had three branches, but two were broken and the third branch was damaged.
