Chungcheongbuk-do(Danyang-gun)

Built during the Japanese occupation, Suyanggae Tunnel has a length of 200 meters and x_width of 5 meters. The tunnel was neglected for many year until recent rennovation into a light tunnel. The light tunnel consist of updated videos, sound system and LED media facade, drawing visitors both locally and internationally.


Jeollanam-do(Gwangyang-si)

Baegunsan Mountain (1,218m) is believed to hold three diving spirits: phoenix, fox, and boar. Part of the Baekdudaegan mountain range, Baegunsan borders Seomjingang River to the north and Jirisan Mountain to the south, and has four major valleys - Seongbul, Donggok, Eochi, and Geumcheon - with clear waters and lush forests. The forest in the mid-section of the mountain is home to around 900 rare plant species. In fact, Baegunsan houses the largest variety of plant species only after Hallasan Mountain.

Located at the Jongno-bound entrance of the Insa-dong main street in Jongno-gu, Seoul, Insa Gallery specializes in Korean traditional mother-of-pearl lacquer crafts. The products on sale range from traditional motifs to modern designs, such as wine stand. The store also carries specialized Korean tourism products that make for great gifts or collector’s items. Located on the first floor of Daeil Building, Insa Gallery is part of the shopping mall “Insa Korea,” which houses a number of stores specializing in traditional products. Thus, when locating Insa Gallery, visitors might find the address alone confusing. First, enter the shopping mall and look straight ahead toward the end of the central hallway, and you will find the store filled with glittering mother-of-pearl lacquer products.


Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Gyeongsangnam-do(Namhae-gun)

The name of the temple is believed to have originated from the fact that it is located in the south of Gajisan or Seokansan. Built in 824 A.D. (during the 16th year of King Heondeok’s reign), the temple was destroyed during the Japanese Invasions of Korea (1592-1598) and rebuilt in 1674 (during the 15th year of King Hyeongjong’s reign). Since then, it has gone through rebuilding several times. Consisting of 30 buildings, the temple is home to many Buddhist nuns. Seongnamsa Three Story Pagoda (Local Tangible Cultural Property No. 5) was built in 824 A.D. by Monk Doui, reflecting his wish of protecting the country from foreign invasions. The pagoda was initially placed in front of Daeungjeon, but moved to the current location in 1973. Other notable relics in the temple include the Statue of Monk Doui (National Treasure No. 369), Three Story Sarira Pagoda, and Stone Water Tank (Cultural Property Material No. 4).  


Gyeonggi-do(Pocheon-si) , Pocheon

The Ildong Jaeil Oncheon is situated in the hot springs region of Pocheon-gun. Many visitors from the Seoul and Gyeongin areas come for the high-quality water that comes from the hot springs located 800~1000 meters underground.Visitors to the Ildong hot springs region also enjoy the famous Idong galbi (grilled meat), visit the nearby Baekunsan, Gwangdeoksan, Cheonggyesan, and Unaksan Mountain ranges and also visit Nasan Golf Course and Ildong Lake.The Ildong Jaeil Oncheon’s hot springs water are known to be effective in treating rheumatism, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, neuralgia, women’s diseases, arthritis, and various skin ailments.

Well-known for its uncontaminated, clear waters, Hallyeo Waterway flows from Odongdo island of Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do to Hansando island of Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do and remains protected due to its inclusion in Hallyeohaesang National Park. The waterway is dotted with over 500 large and small islands and was the site of countless navel battles fought by Admiral Yi Sun-Shin during the Japanese invasions of 1592-1598.
