Gyeonggi-do(Pyeongtaek-si)

Pyeongtaek International Passenger Terminal is a port located in Poseung-eup, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do. It connects geographically Dangjin-gun and Seohae-daegyo Bridge as well as Hwaseong-si.


Gyeonggi-do(Yangpyeong-gun) , Yangpyeong

Semiwon is a park located in Yongdam-ri, Yangseo-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do that was founded on the principle of “natural purification.” The name “Semiwon” comes from an old proverb that says “one can cleanse his mind by looking at water and enlighten his spirit by looking at flowers.” To further emphasize the idea of literal and figurative cleansing, the park was designed with paths made out of washboards and is decorated with lotus-themed poetry and drawings.Semiwon is home to an army of water plants such as lotus flowers, water lilies, and irises, all of which are plants that are well-known for their natural purification properties. Not just a beautiful sight to behold, the plants also have an important function. The 180,000 square-meter park consists of six ponds through water is filtered and purified before flowing back into the Hangang River.Major facilities at Semiwon include the Environment Learning Center, Trial Cultivation Complex, and the World Water Lily Garden, which contains over 100 varieties of water lilies. Visitors to the park can also find water fountains, an observation deck, a traditional wind gauging device called Punggidae, and Monet’s Garden, which looks as if it came right out of the famous picture by French artist Claude Monet.


Gyeonggi-do(Pyeongtaek-si) , Pyeongtaek

The Songtan Special Tourist Zone in Pyeongtaek is located near a US military base and consists of shopping malls and entertainment facilities. It is often referred to as “Little Itaewon” because it bears a similarity with Itaewon’s alleys. The districts of Sinjang and Seojeong are part of this tourist zone.The main attraction in the Sinjang district is the shopping mall that was completed in 1998. Visitors can shop and spend their leisure time along the 300-meter-long pedestrian road that starts from the US military base. In Songtan’s Seojeong district, there is a popular cherry blossoms road and a public park where people can relax.There’s a bike path on Buraksan Mountain and a wide variety of delicious food at the Pyeongtaek Jungang International Market. The Korea-US Friendship Culture Festival is held in September and the Moro Culture & Art Festival in October. Busan(Haeundae-gu) , Haeundae

Korea Science Festival aims at making science more familiar to the public and elevating the image of Daejeon as an advanced science city. The Silleuksa Temple Resort area hosts the Yeoju Ogok Naru Festival. This festival is a great place for visitors to see Yeoju's argricultural and local products, such as rice, sweet potatos, peanuts and fruits.


Gyeonggi-do(Suwon-si) , suwon

Gyeonggi-do(Yeoncheon-gun)

Sintan-ri Station opened on December 1, 1942. This railway station has been under the jurisdiction of North Korea since August 15, 1945. Sintan-ri Station is the last station on the Gyeongwon Line because trains can't go further beyond this point. Most passengers getting off at this station are those headed for Godaesan Mountain or tourists visiting areas around the DMZ.


Gyeonggi-do(Yongin-si) , Yongin

Everland hosts the Tulip Festival to mark the onset of spring from March to April each year. Over 1.2 million tulips in 100 different varieties including Apeldoon, Synaeda Blue and Pink Diamond will be on display. Gyeonggi-do(Pocheon-si) , Pocheon

Pocheon Art Valley is established in what used to be a granite quarry. The quarry became the site of the nation’s first shared culture and art complex in 2009. The valley has had over 1,000,000 visitors by 2014. Various programs such as a planned exhibition, weekend performance, planned performance and others are prepared for visitors. Also, Pocheon Art Valley Astronomical Science Museum officially opened on August 1, 2014 as a spot for space science, comprised of an exhibition hall for space, cutting-edge 4D video room, and astronomical observation room that offers constellation reading.


Gyeonggi-do(Icheon-si) , Icheon

Icheon Hot Springs is conveniently located close to Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Its water is colorless, odorless, and tasteless and contains minerals like magnesium, calcium chloride, sodium chloride, calcium carbonate. Particularly, it has high amounts of sodium that is beneficial to various skin disease, neuralgia, and eye disease. The temperature of the water is around 30℃, which is somewhat low, so make sure to occasionally warm up when using the water.
