Hotel Sinsun - Goodstay

Hotel Shinsun is located in the hot spring complex, Jirisan National Park in Gurye-gun Jyeongnam. The building was largely renovated in March 2010, and has the convenient facilities including the Korean food restaurant, western food restaurant, cafe, banquet hall and Internet shop, aiming for ‘Fresh&Well-being’ hotel. This hotel has the outdoor BBQ area. In spite of hotel, there is the cooking area, grill, and dish washing area to be leased like a condo. It is the best place for the family and friends. As neighboring tourist spots, There are Gurye 10 spots, Mt. Jirisan, Seomjin river, fall and valley including Surak waterfall, Jirisan trail, Hwaeomsa(temple), Cheoneunsa(temple) and Munsusa(temple). As the seasonal events of Gurye, there are Goroswe Yaksu festival, Gwangyang ume flower festival, Sansuyu festival, Jirisan Namyakje, Baraebong royal azalea festival, Chunhyanghae festival, and Namwon herb festival for March ~ May. The Ocean Resort Water Park
Jeollanam-do(Yeosu-si)

Located inside The Ocean Resort in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, this large water park can accommodate 600 people at once. It opened in July 2008 in time for the opening of the resort equipped with 128 rooms. It is the only water park in Korea that provides views of the refreshing blue waters of the Dadohaesang National Marine Park. Its indoor facilities include an artificial wave pool with slides, Para Wave Slide, Aqua Kids’ Pool, and spa. Meanwhile, the outdoor facilities include Double Tornado, slides, and wave pools. The water park is also equipped with various convenience facilities such as cafeteria, DVD room, changing rooms, swim suit shop, and more. The resort has seven floors above ground and four below with all rooms providing ocean views. The resort facilities include a wedding hall, banquet hall, and restaurants.

Dinosaur Tracksite of Hwasun, Seoyu-ri

The Dinosaur Tracksite of Hwasun was discovered in 1999 during a land survery for the construction of Hwasun Hot Springs Area. Most dinosaur tracks found in Korea are located in coastal areas in cities like Haenam and Boseong, so the discovery in the inner region of Jeollanam-do was a first. Most prints here come from carnivorous dinaosaurs of the Cretaceous period. The site is famous for there being tracks from no fewer than five different dinosaurs, as well as for being one of the longest trails and most direct examples of the exact movements of the dinosaurs. The tracks of one dinosaur are the longest in the world, stretching for 40 meters. Based on the foot size of 20-22cm with a stride of approximately 90cm, it is estimated that the prints were formed by a 4-5 meter tall Koolasuchus. In addition to the canivorous dinosaurs, tracks were found of 12 herbivorous dinosaurs, as well as fossilized plants. These plants offer much assistance in the research of herbivorous dinosaur diets.

Jeamsan Recreational Forest (제암산자연휴양림)

Taepyeong Yeomsaeng Botanical Garden is located next to one of the largest solar-evaporation salt fields, and spans over an area of 110,000㎡. Over 70 species of various salt plant colonies grow at the natural mud flat including glasswort, sea-blite, East Asian seepweed, and Herbaceous seepweed to create a splendid scene. Also, one can easily see Tti (a plant) which can not grow in polluted places. Walking along the 220m-long walking path, diverse mud flat creatures like mudskipper, chilge (crab), bangge (crab) and gastropods can be met with close sight.

Jjangttungeodari (Mudskipper) Bridge (짱뚱어다리)

Featuring natural areas untouched by human hands, Jeungdo Island in Shinan-gun was the first Slow City designated in Asia as of December 1, 2007. The trademark image of the island is Jjangttungeodari Bridge, built above 470m from the mud flat. This wooden bridge allows visitors to observe mud creatures all without stepping foot in the mud. The jjangttungeo (mudskipper) is only able to live in clean mud flats and they are found in this island easily. The name of the bridge comes from the image of many mudskippers jumping around the bridge. During low tide, the vast mud flat appears, as well as various mud organisms including mudskippers, crabs, clams and lug worms. When the tide is high, crossing this bridge will give the feeling of walking on water. The sight seen from the bridge is perfect for a date course, and after crossing the bridge, you will find yourself on Ujeon Beach, which offers a beautiful view of the setting sun.

The island is located 19.2km from Wando Island, reachable in approx. 50 minutes by way of ferry. The island was designated as Dadohaehaesang (Marine Archipelago) National Park on December 23, 1981, and became the first Asian Slow City (or 'Cittaslow Town') on December 1, 2007. Not only that, the Korea Tourism Organization and CNN Broadcast Network have also selected Cheongsando Island for inclusion in the "50 Most Beautiful Places to Visit in Korea."
